Making campfires and maintaining them is an art. I have never had my own metal poker before, so I was excited to try this out. My first camping trip was fun with this, and I really enjoyed having this option to play around with.Stoking by blowing through this actually was very useful when starting up my fire. It saved me time where I usually just waited for temps to rise from my kindling to small wood. The poker worked wonderfully and was an upgrade from what I normally do, which is just use another stick to try to manage the fire throughout the night. The metal held up fine. I did take it home and brushed it down with some oil. The joints where the pieces fit together can get stuck, so a little oil loosed them up easily and they came apart and go back together nicely. Overall, great tool for camping.

This is of a much higher quality than I was expecting for sure. Great handle.

It's really well-made and sturdy, definitely not flimsy like some others I've seen. The wooden handle is comfortable to grip and the whole thing feels solid in your hands. I was a bit surprised by how heavy it is, though. You'll need to use two hands to maneuver it comfortably, especially when the poker end gets hot. Once I put it together, it was a perfect length for my fire pit. The wide tube makes it easy to blow air directly onto the embers and get the fire going quickly.

This seems very sturdy and worked well in our outdoor fire pit to poke and move wood around. Comes in very small kit as three pieces that comes together easily. Would recommend for the price $18

I picked this up as I have a blow poke that has a battery powered blower on it and it can occasionally, when I need it the most, die on me. Having something that just uses my own hot air is pretty cool, and this poker delivers with a nice wide tube down the middle. It has some weight to it, and with two hands you can easily move your fire around with the large poker on the end. It definitely feels like a two handed tool. With the length, you can easily and safely position it to give air from your face directly to the embers without creating a lot of dust and smoke. The entire poker feels well made and the wooden handle is large and also very nice. Thanks!

Good portability especially that is disassembles into 3 parts. Very solid construction and can be used to stoke the fire by blowing through it. The bad part is that it is very heavy and hard on your wrist to maneuver. The connections also seem rusty and since it comes apart, they need to include a bag or a strap. Just okay.

Docking this product by one star due to rust on the threaded connections that you will need to wire brush off and add an oil coating. Other than that, it's a nice hefty blow stoker. The hole on the end is bigger than most, so clogging is not a big issue. You can easily knock it on the ground to dislodge any coals that may get stuck. As for overall construction, this comes in three pieces made of wood and carbon steel. The handle is a nicely sized wood grip that fits in the hand well. The blow hole at the top of the handle is basically a large welded nut. The total length once assembled is 38 inches, perfect for a fire pit or campfire. It's quite heavy, so best used at home or car camping, but definitely not for hiking. As I stated in the beginning, there is an issue with rust on the outer and inner threads at the 2 connection points. We ended up just wire brushing the rust off and applying a light coating of 3-in-1 oil. The pieces screwed together perfectly. It looks like there is a light paint coating on the steel, but not sure if it's high temp paint. Since this is carbon steel, it won't last forever, but you can oil the connections and apply some high temp Krylon spray paint for additional protection if you so desire. For $15 with the current coupon, this is a steal compared to other blower stokers. It's 30-50% less than its competitors. The construction is decent and works in our backyard fire pit, so overall this is a low risk at the advertised price. Go for it!

I wasn't sure what to think of a fire poker that had to be put together but I am pleasantly pleased with this item. It is heavy and strong with a very nice balance to it. Now I need cooler weather so I can try it out!
