Sturdy, fast boil, bulky, starter is cheap and often doesn’t work, too holding wire too loose, looks good, not dishwasher safe washable.Item was slightly defective and they offered full refund. 3 stars for the product. 5 stars for the company.

First off, while the outer mailing box was undamaged, the actual product packaging was dirty - smeared and splattered. Gross! Otherwise, it didn't appear to be a return. Zip ties and such, were intact on the kit's components. The night it arrived, I watched a concerning YouTube regarding the huge amounts of CO that these baffle pot jetboil-type systems produce (hundreds of parts per million in less than a minute, both the JetBoil brand and a Fire Maple). The guy (Wiskydog channel?...something like that) used two different monitors in a truck camper. He also tested a simple one burner butane flat camp stove that showed no CO emissions. He switched out the fuel tanks, so that wasn't the problem. When these stoves were burned with a regular kitchen cook pot, they tested ok, but the whole point of these systems is the speed and efficiency made possible by the heat distributing baffles, and the baffles specifically appear to be the cause of high CO emissions. The fact is, people WILL cook inside during power outages, and in this case, cracking a window is absolutely NOT adequate. I'm surprised none of those Canadian van-lifers who use this type of stove daily haven't suffered CO poisoning. Perplexing. Considering a return.EDIT after trial use: Works well, boils fast. I will only use this product outside, but considering how quickly it heats water, there won't be much time to get cold while waiting.

I've tested tons of cook systems over the years, from ultra-lite burners to complete cook systems. Sometimes over paying is just over paying. I hate products that over charge without any additional benefits. So that's one of the reasons I highly recommend this cook system. Here are some more reasons:-It's light for a cook system-It's thoughtfully designed, self contained with gas-It looks good-It functions exactly as advertised, and the valve produces an even flame and predictable adjustments-Not too much money, high value feature set-Expandable cook system options-Been around and improved over the years

Tolles Gerät. Ein in sich geschlossenes System. Passt perfekt. Wasser kocht sehr schnell.

It's heavy. But it is excellent for camping. It perfectly fits the 230 g fuel cannister inside of it with the rest of the stove. Easy to use and works like a charm. Ignitor is excellent. The value of this overall seems amazing considering the Jet Boil is literally double the price.I will say that I've only used about one fuel cannister through it but so far all I can see is a quality product.

I bough the Polaris and the Star X1 to compare themPolaris:Pro: appears to be made of quality material. Like the X1 it will hold 1 ltr. The infighter is easy to use and works perfectly. The regulator is easy to turn and you can bring the flame down to a simmer easily. The X1 is more of a challenge to adjust. The Polaris has an internal piece in the regulator to keep the flame consistent regardless of the fuel pressure. The lid has a locking mechanism when stowing it away. Everything fits inside.Con: it’s $30-40 more than the X1. Although everything fits inside, I’m adding something to protect the ignition wire over the stove. The fuel can fits over this piece when packed, but not sure after bumping around it wouldn’t damage it.

Fire Maple have made a fantastic little gas / camping stove that is well designed, robust and does a job well.It contains a trivet, a gas burner / mount with an igniter and power control, a collar to allow you to cook on pots and pans and a 1l container that can boil water. It boils a litre of water in a few minutes and did a fine job cooking on a few pots and pans.It didn't seem to use alot of gas and was sturdy on a flat surface.I would buy some windshields to stop the wind diminishing your cooking or blowing out the flame otherwise this is the perfect portable camping stove. 👍
