An oddity of many gaiters of this design is that the strap that goes under the boot tread is way too short and can't be used. So, the gaiters ride up the boot side after a while and you are left with a dangling under strap unless you just cut it off. Maybe the issue is that I wear size 12 but so do lots of other folks. These are ok but not up to usual OR standards.

You would think being a name brand and paying way more you would get a better quality product. Elastic strap pulled loose as soon as I tried them on. Cheap Junk.

The elastic cord that secures the clips to the gaiters broke off the first time I went to put them on. Never got to use them once and now the return window has passed. Very disappointing for a product from Outdoor Research. Save yourself some frustration and purchase a different pair.

The elastic band that keeps it wrapped around your shoe broke while putting the gaiter on for its first use.

The elastic band that runs thru the bottom of the gaiters -- broke on BOTH gaiters, during the first wearing. Need I say more??

I absolutely loved the light weight and the fact that they fitted so snugly. But after only about 10 miles of hiking the plastic hook on the strap under the sole broke. It is too bad as I really like these gaiters.

I like them a lot. I've had a few pairs of OR gaiters that were nylon with Velcro up the front. I'm getting into lighter weight hiking and decided to try something different. They are so light I forget they are on and seem to breathe very well. They are not as easy to put on as the other pairs but that's fine, I just have to remember to put them on before my shoes, haha. I got the Lg/XL and they are tight around a men's size 12 trail runner.
