Insulation held up very well. Didn’t deform or shrink when high heat from soldering iron was applied. Put insulation directly over flame on stove and held its shape with no discoloration or issues. Nice high temp wire for soldering jumpers on boards with damaged traces.

Certainly not 18 AWG. Probably 22 AWG.

Says it is 22 AWG. Sorry to say they must be talking about the outside diameter. Wire strippers say otherwise. It’s actually 26 AWG. Fail!

The six wire rolls are loosely wound in the box, so trying to pull any length from it causes the wire to tangle on its own and adjacent rolls. I tried to fix by punching holes in the box, but if the tools were wound tighter and there were spacers in between adjacent ones, it would have been easier. Still, the resists soldering iron heat quite well.

I bought this product due to it being coated with teflon since I use it for wiring guitars and wanted a wire that would not melt when soldering. I was skeptical about the quality because the price was much cheaper that the other products I found online (one spool of white found elsewhere was the same price as this entire 5 spool product. I ended up ordering this product but I needed white so I ordered it from a USA manufactured company (this product is manufactured in Asia). I tested the wires of both products. The teflon insulation of this product melted in 10 seconds at 375 degrees, the white one, which I purchased from separately from another company, never melted, however, it did get a black mark on the insulation.

I purchased this when I rewired a 3d printer to use canbus. This required 4 wires, Power, Ground, CAN_H, & CAN_L. I needed 20awg for power and ground and just chose to wire all 4 as 20awg using different colors. The wire is a little on the stiff side, but very easy to work with and crimp connections. I did microfit on one end, and JST on the other. It was a bit of a chore to push this through my wire loom, but my loom may have been a bit too small. The stiffness of the wire made it easier. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if needed.

Honestly wasn’t expecting much from it, but it turned out to be a great product so far. Insulation is nice and slick, which is perfect for tight tolerances in drag chains. While they claim thick core it seems they use a very high strand count which is another plus in the application i used this wire in. All around a spot on product for the price. I will add that the website posted on the packaging doesn’t exist, but i do hope they stick around on this platform as there are basically no other options here for FEP coated wire.
