Yeah at first glance buying a guitar from Amazon is kinda sketch but this strat looks really cool and plays well it’s not a scam

I knew exactly what I’d get when I ordered this Squier: Classic C shaped satin neck with laurel fingerboard, dime-sized 250k pots, medium-output, strat-snappy ceramic pickups and a not-that-great (albeit pretty usable) tremolo system. And I got it.What surprised me positively: no sharp nor tall frets and the die-cast tuners are pretty smooth. The guitar is light (around 7 lbs) and the set up out of the box was reasonably good, just requiring adjusting intonation.Words of caution: there’s a lot of spring noise from the tremolo system. There’re several easy ways of eliminating it (check YouTube), so no big deal, but bear in mind you’ll need to do it. Adding a fret wrap behind the nut would be advisable if you play with high gain.Overall, a good guitar if you can get it on sale.

Yeah it's a Chinese made guitar. The frets on mine did not need to be filed down. It played well right out of the box. I do find myself having to tune it frequently, though. For $250 pre-tariffs, it seems like a worthy investment. Tariffs are taxes on buyers. Choose your politicians wisely. If this review is approved let's see how it ages.

I found the build quality and play-ability was excellent. It also has the classic strat sound (at least to me). I adjusted the neck to my preference and it just plays and sounds great. Excellent fit an finish. I was amazed that out of the box the intonation was spot on! Extremely satisfied with my purchase. I was originally thinking for the this money; I might upgrade the pickups and or the neck. But for me, it's perfect the way it is!NOTE: I'm retired and owned a few American Stratocasters over the years and I really can't tell much difference (if any).

The only negative on this is that the body is slightly thinner than a standard strat but it's not Squier Bullet thin. The neck is not thin at all , it's actually a little thicker than a lot of other guitar that I own. It seems like it has 9 gauge strings on it , I use 10's but they are not 10's . Mine came already setup. I am an experienced player and setup tech . I use string height gauges to measure when I do a set up and I use my ears . This guitar has very low action ( 6th string is 1.75 mm height exactly at the 12th fret ) and very straight neck yet no fret buzz anywhere , maybe the thinner strings are why , less vibration. If these are 9 gauge I'll keep them on be cause I love the set up . I fear they might be 8's though and will have to go. The intonation was on target also . I had to adjust absolutely nothing on this guitar . The pups sound great , the finish is flawless , it's a yellowish white , not really Olympic White like a Fender and I'm totally loving this color. This axe is light weight , I would make a guess at 6 pounds . The neck and frets are great . I played a few Iron Maiden tunes on it note for note and a Scorpions song and it stayed in tune. I don't use the trem because I don't solo much at all. You can't go wrong with this instrument . It's going to be my number one at home now .

Very well made for a budget Fender. Thought I would have to at least replace strings and tuning heads but they are sufficient. The intonation didn't even need any adjustment, string height was fine and neck was straight, good action and no fret buzz. No fret filing necessary either. Only con is that the pickup selector switch could be a bit sturdier.

Very nice guitar at a good price. Well packaged. Right out of the box the set-up was almost perfect. Action was perfect and intonation only required minor tweaking on one string. I have a number of Fender products and the sound of this Squire Strat is comparable to the made in Mexico Fender Strats at less than a third of the price. Squire has come a long way in producing quality guitars in recent years.
