Fel-Pro is Boss.I used a high tack spray adhesive by Loctite to help anchor and seal the gasket. Though two studs in the block exist I voted for some added help. I Torqued all bolts and was sure to PTFE seal the three bolts around the 0800-1000 position that enter the cooling jacket. No leaks. My harmonic balancer to shaft seal surface was barely worn at 167K miles so I went without the sleeve version.

Fit perfect and no more leaks. This Vulcan engine is notorious for leaks at the water outlets in the timing cover. Didn't take too long to swap out and everything went in ok without moving the engine around. I did add a smear of RTV to both sides of the gasket surrounding the water passages because there was some corrosion. The factory service manual says they go on dry though.I suggest swapping out the timing chain while you're in there. I kinda regret not doing the oil pump too.
