sealed the manifold perfectly. Just follow directions, keep in mind never to over torque and never use permatex or other gasket augments lest you will be changing them again sooner than just using the proper torque as directed.The gaskets compress properly with a cleaned lower intake (metal) On my 2001 Explorer Sport trac. I torqed the isolator bolts down in a cross pattern of 110 INCH lbs. Engine runs like a new one now and cleared up all the problematic "Lean codes" that causes too much air being drawn through leaky gaskets. They need room to expand and retract with all engine temperature changes while maintaining a perfect seal.

I had to take out the plenum on my mom's 2005 Ford Explorer to replace her fuel rail pressure sensor. I decided to go ahead and replace the gaskets while I was there. Good thing I did, the originals were showing signs of cracking. These gaskets fit perfectly and held in nicely while I reinstalled the plenum. Once again Fel-Pro parts prove their worth their weight in gold.
