Arrived fast and well protected in packaging. Connected to my bare SMD Arduino ATmega328 chip and was able to send serial to/from chip. The challenge was to be able to load bootloader - necessary if you want to program the chip thru the serial interface. Was not an issue with the module but one with settings on the Arduino IDE.Arduino IDE Settings that worked for me :Tools - Board -> Select ATmega328Tools - Programmer - Select USBtinyISP (mini core)

Even though the description does not mention Windows 10, that is where I tested these. I hooked it up to my 3D printed Arduino Pro Mini programing module and connected it to my computer. It came up as comm 6. I uploaded the typical Blink sketch to see that all was working.I tested both of them and each one worked without any issues. The description says that these are fake chips, but they do work fine. The chips are labeled as FT232RL.I read another review that stated they did not work on ARM64 Windows 11 which I do not have so I cannot attest to that, but they do work fine with Windows 10.

I see now that the description says it's not a "genuine" FTDI chip but did not notice that when I ordered this. It does work on an M1 mac but does not work at all on ARM64 version Windows 11. Unfortunately due to this, it doesn't have much use to me for what I needed it for.

For micro controller development board without build-in serial adapter, this is a must have popular tool for downloading firmware/code to micro controllers. This set comes with 2 adapters and 1 DuPont jumper wires. Therefore, this is almost plug-n-play.

I purchased this board, whose chip is devoid of any labels, leading me to suspect it might be counterfeit. My experience with official 'FTDI Basic' boards from SparkFun gave me a baseline for comparison. There's been a concern that counterfeit chips can be rendered inoperable ('bricked') by official FTDI drivers, so I was initially hesitant. However, the convenience of overnight delivery from Amazon and the attractive price point - 1/3 the cost of the traditional electronics component retailers - persuaded me to give it a try.To my pleasant surprise, the chip functioned flawlessly. The software recognized it immediately, and I haven't encountered any issues so far."

These non-genuine FTDI chips are not programmable. Useless to me, should be made clear in the ad.Recommend DO NOT BUY!
