I watched a video on how to install. In the video it shows that the installer pops off the wiring harness off the old ones and new ones and plugs the into the existing harness. This is not an easy task! If you choose this route use a flat head screwdriver to slowly pry the harness up off the paddle. DO NOT try and force it.If you want to use the harness that comes with paddles. You WILL have to remove the steering wheel which is very simple. Run the new wires the same route as the old.Order installation drove and tested and worked perfect!

I was skeptical on these working on a 96 ranger when they was for a 98 and up but they worked great on my 96 with no different wiring. And it fixed my horn problem. And yes the buttons light up and dim with the switch.

Buttons look and feel nice. Only one of the backlights work but it’s better than the old rotten buttons I had. Would recommend paying a little bit more money for better quality control.

Many YT tutorials on installation—it was quick & easy, taking only 20 minutes or so to swap out. The buttons fit, look, & function like new with nice even lighting that matches other factory dash lighting.
