These worked well to retap the engine on my lawn mower. It had kept leaking oil because one of the bolts had likely been overtorqued which led to the hole threads being stripped. This set allowed for a bolt to fit tightly again at that location. No oil leaks this summer

Overall the quality of all the parts seemed good enough. But it included a tap for a 3/8-16 not the 5/16-18 like the kit should of. Rendered it useless. Check your kit before using. Shoulda gone with Helicoil.

Did everything it should do without issues. Even had the correct drill bit! Disclaimer: Used to fix stripped threads in an aluminum lawnmower engine. No experience in steel.

Wrong sized drill bit. Inserts were too large.. my bolt head broke off leaving the remaining part in the engine block. Total Shot Show.

Very easy to use. I used it to fix a stripped rocker arm boss on a AMC/ Jeep 360ci engine. Drill bit was very sharp and same with the tap. Great quality and results for the money

I used this kit after breaking an exhaust stud on my motorcycle. It worked really well. The stud was tight and is holding the flanged as it should.
