The size is good and it does the job well and packs the rice down and gets it where it needs to go. The quality is great and it's strong. Less sticky mess and perfect for rice. It handles well in the dishwasher.

First, know that this only comes with one spoon. It is by far the best rice spoon I've used. the pronged texture keeps rice from sticking so it makes scooping and cleaning so much easier. The wide standing base is also super convenient.

Helps to keep the counter clean and organized. The scooping part of the spoon is sturdy as well as the handle. It’s balanced and stays in standing position well. I like that the scooping part is longer than most other rice spoons so that your hand doesn’t get close to the hot steam while scooping. Rice doesn’t really stick to the spoon much either, which was a problem I had with all other rice scoops.

At my house we take rice very seriously, and I have a couple other paddles that I wasn't 100 per cent pleased with. After ordering this rice paddle, I can happily say my search is over! The quality of construction appears to be very good, and the handle is extremely comfortable to hold when manipulating or digging down in the bottom of the rice cooker. Also, the paddle portion has a little bit of Flex in it allowing for more manipulation in the way I prefer but will still hold up to a mountain of cooked rice without deforming. The handle is ergonomically designed in a triangle shape which more resembles a semi-closed fist, allowing for effortless comfort while digging out your batch of white gold. The paddle has very subtle plastic knobs covering both sides allowing manipulation of cooked rice due to increased grip of the paddle. Also, the head of the paddle is narrower than any other rice paddle I've used before which is great if using a smaller rice cooker, but for me I just enjoy the maneuverability of it. I never thought I would be this smitten by a rice paddle but whoever designed this one deserves a medal!Honestly couldn't be happier with this thing, and definitely recommend checking it out. If anything changes in the future I'll come back and edit this post.

I saw this and decided to give it a try. I don't cook a lot of rice but saw this rice paddle and decided to give it a try. All I can say it that this is so much better than using a large serving spoon. I like that the texture grips the rice. The paddle is not hugely curved so this helps to keep the rice on the paddle a lot. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Your mileage may vary but for me this is a winner and I wish I had gotten a hold of one of these sooner. I can't say how heat resistant it is so I can't leave 5 stars but that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve 5 stars. The handle is comfortable and flat on the bottom so it can be stood upright, which I find convenient.Hope this was in some way helpful.

This rice paddle is a new to me kitchen tool. We eat a lot of rice, so I wanted to give this a try. It is only one piece, and it has bumps on both sides of the elongated spoon. It does stand up on its own, that was neat for a spoon. The description states that it is extra-long, mine is not.

I first used it to mix up macaroni and cheese from one of those box mixes, and then dish it up. It loads up a plate really quickly. The bumply surface means that the sauce sticks to it and does not come off easily. And when I take it out of the dishwasher, it retains the water.I wanted to use this also as a spatula to clean out jars: it is too stiff for that, and too wide for many jars.I have washed this in the dishwasher in both top and bottom racks, and it did OK.All in all, it does what it ought to do, and should be good for cooking with rice next time I make rice. The flat end of the handle is nice for standing it up and making it easier to grab; however, it also is uncomfortable when that edge is being worked against my palm.

This is going to be one of my most favorite kitchen tools. The size is great, feels good in my hand and it does, in fact, stand up nicely without any wobble and is quite stable. I actually didn't think I would use that function much, but surprisingly I do. If the mixture isn't runny it saves leaving a splotch on my countertop every time I put it down to add something or whatever. It has an interesting rough sort of texture on both sides which doesn't show in the picture. Apparently this is what keeps stuff from sticking to it. And that is really the best feature - nothing sticks, like gooey rice mixtures especially.I make my own dog food, dog treats, etc. Much of what I'm always mixing is a thick rice, meat, veggie combo that always sticks to the spoon when I'm dishing it into freezer bags. It just doesn't stick to this spoon at all. Same for regular rice. I also tried it in a dog buiscuit batter and that didn't cling to it either.I just love this thing and now can't imagine my kitchen without it. 5 stars and definitely recommend
