The exhaust camshaft actuator features a black electrical plug. When your factory exhaust actuator begins to fail your car's computer may trigger fault codes P0013 or P0014 resulting in a check engine light. This can lead to hestiation, decreased fuel economy and poor driveability.
Our exhaust camshaft actuator is a direct replacement for the factory actuator and installs in under 30 minutes. The exhaust actuator comes with a new preinstalled oil seal to insure a leak-free installation. Simply remove the old actuator and install the new one in place.

Camshaft actuators are an important part of your vehicles engine. When the factory actuators fail you may begin to experience decreased driveability, hestiation and fault codes which will cause a check engine light (CEL).
By replacing the faactory actuators you can restore driveability and get your check engine light to turn off. Common fault codes you may find when your factory actuators fail include: P0013, P0014, P0016, or P0017

The product was easy to install, and my suv runs great again. It was running really sluggish with a service engine soon light on. Read the code ordered the part put it in myself in about 20 minutes. I had to remove power steering reservoir bolts to get one bolt out. It was still very easy to do. Great part!

the engine is still making the noise and still shows up on diagnostics. so either the one i got was faulty or it’s the manufacturer themselves. used on 2009 chevy trailblazer

I ordered this part for my 06 Envoy 4.2, the part looked good and well made, it was an easy 20 minute install for me, I've only put 200 miles on it since the install, seems to have fixed my problem so far.

My 2004 GMC Envoy XUV was throwing a code to replace this part. It was not too bad to replace on the 4.2 I6 Vortec engine, but it does require removing the power steering pump to get the old one out and the new one in on that engine. Fit perfectly and was ready to roll once I assembled the power steering pump back on.

I can’t attest as to whether or not this will “fix” a CEL code for a malfunctioning VVT solenoid, I simply replaced mine because the wires that were running to it ripped, and I decided to replace the solenoid while I was in there.Looks EXACTLY like the one I removed. Installation was a breeze, great fitment.Totally recommend!

if you have code p0017 or p0017b, and your vehicle wont idle. this is the part to fix that issue. being a mechanic I had the right tools for the job. but if you watch the vidieo on you tube. it only takes 8 min to change. and it instantly corrected the problem. idles perfect.

I can't really give a fair review because any vehicle that runs on this system is just a stupid design. I'm sure this thing probably works. I don't think there was ever anything won't with the original and the replacement one i replaced (yes this is the third one). I just replace it along with every sensor and everything else before i decide to tear the motor down and replace the timing chain and can phaser on this huge POS designed motor GM built. I'll never but another vehicle from any manufacturer that uses this same VVT system. It's junk. Honda has been using VVT since the 80s and theirs is 1000x smarter and more reliable than GMs. So, as I'm sure this specific party itself is great, it's just one piece to an absolute terribly designed VVT system.

the part was excellent..car running great....and was half the price instead getting from autozone or o reillys....so worth the wait a couple of days to receive
