It takes it a few times of cleaning to really get the map down, but once it does have the map done it works very well. I have dogs that leave their toys everywhere, this robot does a great job of navigating around those. I like that it will return to the base to clean itself out and the return to cleaning. The mop function works great for every day cleaning, but if your dogs are like mine and track in a ton of mud, I would clean that up first before trying to use this robot.

This thing is great. But I didn't realize I purchased the regular one. I wanted the pro. The pro mapping is better. It took a few runs to get the mapping sorted out.

I've had this vacuum mop for a couple of weeks and love it. For transparency, I did not receive this as a free product to give a review, I paid for it. I run this 2-3 times daily to keep my floors clean.Pros - it can handle multi-level mapping, the battery lasts a long time, it vacuums and mops at the same time, it doesn't rub around dirty water, applies clean water as it goes, is relatively quiet as it cleans, hasn't had any problems with items getting jammed in the brushCons - loud when emptying the vacuum and dirty water, have to use the manufacturer's cleaning solution, the mop gets caught on flat rugs, it doesn't mop the cornersIn total, I adore this mop. It saves me loads of time and keeps my floors clean, it was expensive but worth it. I hope it lasts (I'll update if it fails).

First and foremost, this is a non-sponsored review. I bought this with my own money because I genuinely like these vacuums.Having owned two other robot vacs, I bought this as an upgrade to my roborock Qrevo s that I used downstairs. I figured everything would be an upgrade...which wasn't the case. The good:- Mopping is absolutely incredible. I could eat off my floors. The ok, but not good:- Sweeping is good on hard floors, terrible on carpets, and it does an awful job getting into cornersThe not good:-The navigation and obstacle avoidance are sub part. It often stops, spins and circles, and seems to forget where it's at. It bumps into shoes and eats cords. While it's better than some, it's lacking compared to others in its price range.Value is poor and I'd recommend another combo vac (dreame or roborock) over this one.

My wife and I have always debated whether a robot vacuum makes sense in our house. I always held the side of skepticism about the effectiveness and reliability of such an appliance. Can it clean under the couch? what about our dinning room? It gets a little too crowded with furniture, so how smart these robot vacuums are, really? My wife had a different opinion. She's been hearing from her friend raving about her new robot vacuum, how "life-changing" it is, and things like "I haven't touched a mop in weeks!". So, of course my wife was intrigued, and I think a little bit envious (allegedly). So, the idea of seeing a robot vacuum in action, and debunking or confirming its capabilities came to fruition with the Eufy S1. So, this review is from a home owner perspective, who have no previous experience with robot vacuums. At this price, I don't know who would by trying a whole bunch of robot vacuums anyway. The Eufy S1 comes well packaged. Setting it up for the first time requires reading the instructions carefully. Although I don't tend to read use manuals, but I felt I had to with the S1. It's not intuitive, which is understandable considering its high tech capabilities. First, make sure that you take off all the stickers on the inside and outside of the vacuum and main station and accessories. There's one under the water tank that can be easily missed. To use the S1 at its full capabilities, you need to download the Eufy Clean App. There's a QR code under the magnetic cover of the vacuum, along with the manual on/off switch, and the Wi-Fi button that connects the S1 to the network and app. In case you're wondering, it's only compatible with 2.5 GHz network. I was disappointed that it's not compatible with 5 GHz. Nevertheless, the app walks you through each step. It's really important to take your time during the first set-up and not rush into cleaning. So, be patient.First you need to attach the side brushes. They are marked grey and red, so make sure that you connect them to their designated slots. Next you have to fully charge it by attaching it to the uniclean station. Then you need let the S1 learn the layout of your house, i.e. rooms zones, etc. (all through the eufy app). Eufy recommends that you run it on vacuum mode for the first 1-3 times, and remove obstacles from the rooms, including cables, so that it can map out the area accurately. Once this step is done, the S1 becomes aware of the room surroundings. The app offers tons of cleaning customizations. You can select to clean the whole home or individual rooms, as well as assign a no go zone within a room and specify the boundaries. You can also select the intensity of the cleaning and choose between fast, standard or deep. There's an option to select the desired suction power, and whether to use only to vacuum, mop or both. It really allows you to customize it to your home's layout and cleaning needs. Now for the cleaning. Color me impressed! This little machine picked up everything from dust to crumbs. The mopping feature is my wife's favourite feature. No more lugging out the bucket and struggling with a soggy mop. The S1 left the floors gleaming, and the uniclean station takes care of disposal without having to get my hands dirty. It even dries the mop. Very impressive! But let's talk about the elephant in the room: the price. At 1799 CAD, the Eufy S1 is a serious investment. Is it worth it? Well, that depends. If you value convenience and truly despise cleaning floors, then the answer might be a resounding yes. The time saved and the sheer ease of use are hard to put a price on.However, there are a few things to consider. The S1 can be a bit noisy, especially when the mopping function is on. And while it does a decent job on carpets, it's not quite as powerful as a traditional vacuum. The other thing to consider is maintenance and parts. This adds an additional cost. Eufy also recommends that you only use their cleaning solution, which is pricier than the other brands. If I'm investing 1799 CAD, then I won't risk it to save few extra dollars on the cleaning solution.Overall, the Eufy S1 exceeded our expectations. It's smart, well-designed, efficient cleaning machine that brings a touch of futuristic convenience to everyday life. While the price tag might give some pause, for those who prioritize automation and sparkling clean floors, the S1 might just be worth every penny.

This is a very easy-to-set-up robot vacuum. I was a little apprehensive going into this, thinking it would be a lot of technological stuff with a steep learning curve, but it's basically plug-and-play.The directions are right on the outer box, and it's just a few steps to get it unboxed, plugged in, and charging. From there, you just install the phone app, and it will be up and running in no time.It first does a run of your house to scan the layout. It can then do a sweep of the rugs and a wipe/mop of the floors. I have about a 1000 sqft main floor, and it took about an hour to do the two runs of sweep and mop.It distinguishes between carpet and hard flooring, and it adjusts itself appropriately to the task at hand (or rather underneath). It has front brushes at each corner of the robot, so it can get into square corners to clean out dust. That said, it won't *scrub* your floors that hard, so caked on mud or other material won't come off with this unit necessarily. You will have to remove hard stains by hand or with something more heavy duty. However, there is a "deep clean" mode that I haven't tried yet. Maybe that will do the trick on harder stuff. From the app, you can control the various settings on the unit. You can program different cleaning schedules depending on your needs. You could do daily or set a custom schedule. You can set it for different times of day, so you could have it run while you're at work. When done, it will self-empty the robot unit. Yet, there is also a wet unit on the robot that you can and should empty by hand. It's pretty simple to pull out the wet filter and rinse it under the sink. They recommend letting it dry completely before re-assembly. This requires a bit of extra time. It's not a good idea to to let dirty water sit in these units, as they can start to smell (I know from experience with another smart-vac that I have). But, it's not a big chore to empty this after it cleans your home. Maybe a couple of minutes and then tamp it dry and let it sit for full drying.I have to stress how convenient this thing is. I can just put it on when I leave the house for work or to run errands, and I come back to a freshly swept and rinsed floor. It's fantastic. I have a dog and he leaves hair and bits of debris around the house, and this thing is great for cleaning.Of course, this thing won't get into tight spots like the spaces between the fridge and the counter, and it may not be able to navigate all the chair legs under you dining table. But, you can move these on occasion and allow it to do its thing. You can even use this on multiple floors, and it will map different areas. The "home base" is somewhat big, and you'll want to have a place to store it. It needs to "landing strip" space to get in and out of the home base, so it may not fit in a small closet (unless the door opens straight out). Personally, I've placed it in the most inconspicuous corner of my house that I could find, as I don't have a lot of main floor closet space.I highly recommend this product, as it works really well to keep the surfaces of your floors nice and clean on a regular basis with very little maintenance from you.I'm happy with this item.

This is my first robotic vacuum mop combo and there is a bit of learning to do on how to navigate and setup the app, but overall, the interface is pretty user friendly. There is no in depth manual, you do have to download one online. To start off, I must say, my house is quite difficult for a robot to clean, because I have carpet and runners in various places and there's hardwood and tiles as well. In the beginning, I was worried about using the mop function because there are carpet and runners in random spots, but it is all customizable. The other thing is furniture, if it keeps needing to dodge furniture and chairs and things on the ground, it would take longer and there are spaces that it cannot reach too.First off, you set it up and have it charged up, download the app and add the vacuum to your app, then you map your home - it basically moves around your entire home to map it out into respective rooms and areas, and it is quite accurate. In retrospect, I think if I were to map my home again, I would probably move lots of obstacles out of the way first to make it easier to map; since it would see an obstacle, back up and turn a different direction. Then you enter the map and select which areas are carpet, which areas are flooring, and if there are any no mop zones, no go zones. And the areas you highlight may or may not be exactly as you want; for instance, I found it would leave the strip near the wall undone, then I would have to increase the area on the map a bit more and it would acknowledge that, so there is a bit of testing and readjusting the map. Then you program what you want it to do, so I have just completed where I want the post meal clean up, and full house clean. After the first run, readjusting the map, the second run was pretty much perfect. The mop part works quite well, there may be a few drops of water near the station when it leaves, but no big deal (you can select if you want water level to be low medium or high, suction you can choose quiet, standard, turbo or max; and you can select how many times you want it to clean - maybe after a big party, you might want to do double. You are also able to select vacuum and mop or vac only.If there is one particular area you want it to clean, you can also use manual mode, which is pretty neat, it is like a remote control car that you control manually via arrows on the app to bring it to the location for cleaning and it will start its task.It comes with a bottle of detergent that you can hook up to the water reservoir, and the machine will determine how much dilution. You can also clean without any detergent (water only). It takes a bit of time to clean the mop, I assume it must be doing a good job, since it cleans it way longer than I would, and it takes hours for it to dry (hot air is blown on it), so you never get a wet mop musty smell. There is a dirty water reservoir that you have to periodically empty and clean inside the vac unit. The other maintenance thing you have to do is empty and change the vacuum bag; after the robot makes its rounds and collects the debris from the floor, it goes back to the station and empties its garbage into the vac bag in the base. It'll take a bit of time to set it perfectly to your liking, but once it's done, it will remember and the second time round it gets faster and more efficient. It is pretty smart, watching it go around is kind of fun, especially seeing it avoid obstacles and trying to find its way around. I did get a positioning error once, meaning it got lost, but it was because of extra obstacles I had in the way.Right now, for its daily clean ritual, I move the chairs to one side, remove all the obstacles, then it can do its thing. I am happy with it, it keeps the kitchen and hallways clean with a daily touch up and a weekly deep clean. And I love how well it does corners and goes right up against the wall! This is perfect for busy households, as you can set it to clean at night and you can wake up to clean floors.
