Let me start by saying that before this I was using a pretty terrible Ibanez Gio guitar that was probably upwards of 10 years old, but it had a lot of TLC done to it to make it good once again (e.g restringing, new pickups, etc.). This guitar has beautiful tone, such that I've found myself using effects to produce sounds much less frequently since I got it. The pickup switcher gives good options for a variety of different music, where I have options for metal (a few that sound great being Master of Puppets and Smells like Teen Spirit), as well as some more calm options if I'm playing less intense music (such as Dial Drunk). It's super versatile, but it's of enough quality where I've found it sort of "making up" for my mistakes, whereas on my last guitar if I accidentally struck a bad note it would be much more apparent. It's amazing quality makes up for any areas where the player falls short, but that being said I would not recommend it as the very first guitar any beginner should get. For first guitars I would honestly put in a little less money, but as I have improved as a player I think this 100% gets the job done. Although I have primarily worked with that aforementioned Ibanez guitar, I've picked up a number of other guitars and have continually found this one to be my favorite by a lot. Also it's SO pretty, so that's a big plus too.

I gave it 5 stars because for one, Ltd is a great guitar always. And 2 the seller and esp was great working with me on the fact that I sadly received a bad guitar. It had cracks all over and the several other problems. Esp said it shouldn't have even been a B stock, it should have never left the warehouse. But I have bought from this seller before and I will again. I was sad to not be able to keep my guitar but I'm positive this was a one time thing. You can buy with confidence from gear orphanage. Very great customer service. And besides the issues with my TE200, it is a killer guitar. Very solid, the 25.5" scale is great to play on. And the pickups actually sound amazing for being stock. Definitely will still buy one in the future.

i wanted this guitar for years and finally coughed up the money to get one. i love esp guitars, i have a vb-300 that i've been playing for 12 years and it's by far the best i've ever played but i really wanted a tele style so thats where my te-200 comes in.the quality is good. the frets are smooth, finish is beautiful and the set up was expertly done.the guitar has a great feel, the wood is high quality and very substantial. it feels like a high quality guitar.shortcomings:the tuners bind up like crazy, i've worked them pretty thoroughly and replaced the strings and still they're just not very good quality. they hold a tune decently enough but the operation just isn't very good.the pickguard is just flimsy. its a single ply piece of plastic and it just detracts from the quality of the instrument. for a $400 guitar i know some corners will be cut but it is what it is.the pickups just aren't very good. which is disappointing considering they're ESP's in house pickups. my favorite sound is the neck pickup with the coil tapped which is disappointing because my whole reasoning for getting the te is because i wanted humbuckers but they just fall short in terms of punchiness.is it a bad guitar? absolutely not. it plays great, it just lacks character.i think this guitar would be a great candidate for some upgrades and is by no means a guitar for beginners.i'm still happy to have it in my collection but it's definitely not going to remain stock for very long.

I was very impressed with this guitar and so glad that i got it. I own many guitars that are 3 and 4 times more expensive and this is one of the best feeling and sounding ones that i have. It was set up perfect right out of the box and i really love to play this one. I wouldn't change a thing. Tuners are awesome, stays in tune and takes a beating. Rock and metal playing with ease but really does it all... But the feel of the neck for me is where its at... love it... Get it! You will not be disappointed!
