Used on a new but totally dead Moultrie 6 volt battery. Charged overnight plus.Charging indicator light is dim but not an issue.

It came in a reasonable amount of time. It worked right out of the box and is used as a trickle chatger for a battery that isn't discharged very often. It looks like it's still working. The indiactor light is on, anyway.

This works for the smaller 6V batteries that little kids powerwheels use. the one i was gifted from my sister as a hand me down had the battery but not the charger. local battery stores wanted $35 for a little charger like this so i went to amazon and scored this. the battery has a special connection on it, but i am able to put the clips right onto those connections inside the plastic and it charges the battery up. i also like that the light helps you to know if it is working or not.

I modified an old solar fence energizer to be just battery operated so I needed a device that would maintain and float a 6volt battery. This does just fine. It did smell kinda funny the first day but does not smell anymore and is working just fine on a 3 dollar timer. I set the timer to activate 3 times a day for 1 hour each time...the battery is happy the deer are not. Win!!!!Update: 02-01-16This charger worked perfectly for me until today when the charger bit the dust. Even though I was using this for a fencer I was well within the desired parameters of such a device and it is disappointing that it died a little over a year and a half later.I took the "wall wart" converter apart and noticed a black chip on the little circuit board is scorched a little. I suppose it is time for another one unless a miracle happens because I am past the return policy by a year or so...lol. Thought this would have lasted longer than what it has though.
