Kit allowed me to keep my riding mower going and not have to junk it. Came with everything needed to get it up and running. Very reasonably priced.

Just like the OEM gaskets, but a lot less expensive.

i cannot give a rating higher than four stars as i only have used the engine for an hour after replacing with these gaskets. they seem to work. we will see what happens after winter.

If your John Deere tractor is blowing a lot of smoke and it has a Briggs & Stratton engine, I can guarantee you the head gasket is bad in between the piston and the valves. It is a well-known issue and if you search on YouTube there are plenty of videos explaining how to change it. There are no special tricks or tools that you need. The only part of the job that you need to pay attention is the push rods. One of them is steel and one of them is aluminum so make a note which one is on top when you remove them. You will know because the steel is significantly heavier.I have a lot of experience working on motors but I promise you this is an extremely easy job for anyone with common sense to fix.. Even if you had no tools, you could buy the tools and do the job for less aggravation and money then it would cost to pay someone. All you need is a socket set with an extension, a few screwdrivers, a flat razor to scrape off the old gasket. Now as far as the products go, they were good quality. In my opinion they were not as nice as the OEM head gasket but i was confident in them and I’ve had no problems since installing them three months ago. My friend has the same tractor with the same problem and I just had him order these gaskets as well.
