1. Rubber to Metal Bonded Mounts:The mounts must be properly secured to do their job. Check to see that the stud on the mount is not forced to one side of the hole or slot. Also check the studs for shiny spots, as this indicates there is a problem. Look for separation or cracks between metal and rubber: when you see separation between the metal and the rubber bond portion of the mount, it should be replaced. If the rubber portion of the mount has cracks, it should be replaced. If the metal is cracked around a bolt hole, the metal could separate andit should be replaced.

2. Hydraulic Mounts:Look for a collapsed mount with signs of leaking hydraulic fluid. This will affect the height and position of the engine or transmission and put undue stress on other related components.

3. Vacuum Actuated Mounts:Look for a collapsed mount. You will experience excessive vibration at idle if this mount has collapsed and failed. This will affect the height and position of the engine or transmission and put undue stress on other related components.

4.Torque Strut Mounts:Look at the bushings in the torque strut for looseness and wear. The adhesion ofthe inner bushing to the torque strut mount and bracket wear out over time due to constant torque and extreme engine heat.

5. Electronic Sensor Mounts:Look for a computer code error message indicating a failure. You will experience excessive vibration at idle if the mount has a failed electronic sensor.

6. Center Support Bearings:Look at the bushings in the torque strut for looseness and wear. The adhesion of the inner bushing to the torque strut mount and bracket wear out over time due to constant torque and extreme engine heat.

These engine mounts were purchased to replace the OEM units in a 2006 Scion xB with 212,000 miles. The OEM mounts had not yet failed completely, but the rubber donuts each had cracks; it was time to replace.

Just replaced all 3 motor mounts and 1 transmission mount today in my 07 Toyota Matrix. Can not believe the positive difference it has made ! The rear mount is the most difficult, watched several YouTube videos and everyone agreed it would take time and patience. Recently took ownership of this car with 250k miles on it. Previous owner did his own maintenance but was a senior and never thought about the fact all 4 mounts were completely shot. Vibration at idle was terrible. Now the car sounds and feels like new. The passenger side, front and transmission mount were all fairly easy. The rear took extra time and patience but I did it all with a few hand tools and a floor jack to relieve engine weight when doing the swaps. Time will tell if this kit holds up, but my initial recommendation is do not hesitate to buy this kit and do the work. Everything lined up as it should, ran into zero fitment issues. My vehicle is an Auto transmission.

Not sure what people are complaining about or if these have been updated. It is 8-8-2022. All 4 of these mounts went in without a hitch. Also the rear one is definitely different, looks like it’s pressed in backwards but actually that design makes it way easier to fit back there in a tight space. Bolted up perfectly. The trick is to put the through bolt in first then tighten down the mounting bolts. Easy!Engine running is very smooth. No problems with rubber hardness or softness. Seemed just fine

This was a great value and I am giving 5 stars, but there was a major issue on my 2006 Matrix. The one on the left was very easy to install, the one in front of the radiator was also easy. The one under the air filter was pretty hard. The one under the engine was extremely difficult to remove and to get the new one in. On top of that the new part didn't fit!! The other 3 were fine, but the 4th is not compatible with a 2006 Matrix. Close, but a half inch off. The bushing was installed 180 degrees off and since the hole was offset this created the fit problem. I got a compatible part from a local parts store, but I had to pay $100 for the one which was more than this entire set cost

The back mount did not fit at all. The other three mounts the holes didn’t alight 100% for the screws but you are able to install them. Cheap metal and rubber. If you are looking for some mounts that will last a couple months get these, for anything longer you’re wasting your money. Be ready to your loca auto parts when one of the mounts don’t fit.

It all started when i was stopping at the red light or stop sign, when on idle my toyota corolla 2005 starts to shake and making a lot of noises and it rattles very bad, So i bring my car to my local auto shop and they told me it was the engine mount that need a replacement. So i started looking for the parts at amazon and i see these parts and then the price is reasonable and affordable for me and i decided to order the parts and bring it to my local auto shop and they agreed to installed it for me ( labor cost me about $500-$600 to replace all the mounts )All the problem is gone and my car now is so quiet when on idle, it has been weeks almost month i don't feel or see any problems with these parts but i will make an update how long it will last or when any problem occurs. So far the parts has been working great for me and so far i am happy with the quality of the product. THANKS :)
