This is a fantastic mug, I feel pampered every morning drinking my tea out of it. It works as advertised, keeps your drink at the temp you set. The mug feels good in the hand, and the size allows for larger brews. It’s just over-the-top luxury. Having said that, it really is very expensive, and I suspect you could buy a cheaper one that would be 80% as effective for less than half the cost of this one. Also, I found it annoying and chintzy that you have to pay extra for a lid for it — all that money, you’d think they could throw in a plastic lid. So am I glad I bought it? Yes. Would I recommend it for everyone? I’d say think long and hard before you commit to it.

I have several of them, and they are a game-changer for keeping my coffee and tea at the perfect temperature. The app control makes it super easy to set and maintain my preferred heat level, and it truly works as advertised. Whether I’m sipping tea throughout the day or enjoying my morning coffee, it stays hot from the first sip to the last. Highly recommend it for anyone who values their hot beverages just right!

1 month review:First of all, I'll start out with the positive.It does what it says it does. It keeps my drink at the perfect temperature. It is also a very nice, quality design. It feels good in the hand, looks nice, and usability is decent.Using the product doesn't always seem straightforward though. Sometimes I have to use the app to get it to turn on, when it's supposed to just always sense liquid and turn on automatically. In my experience, this only works some of the time.Now here is the bad.The price. For this bundle (with the Ember travel lid) I paid over $180 including taxes. There is just no universe in which that price is justified for this product. Of course, I understood this going into it, but the value has not met my expectations.The battery does not last very long. For example, this morning it went from 100% to 0% in an hour. This did include trying to warm up a drink from room temp though. So, usually I get about 2 hours if the drink is already hot. That just isn't enough; especially since one of their key selling points about this new product (and new price) is the "improved" battery. This issue could have been mitigated by using a univeral charging option instead of a proprietary charger. My recommendation would be to add a covered USB type C port as an additional charging option for when you are away from the main charging coaster. If they are going to continue to charge this much for the product, I'm sure the marginal addional cost for that feature is in the budget.The other negatives are minor. The friction-fit lid doesn't really stay on and it works it's way up over time, eventually coming loose. So, if you have a hole burning in your pocket and decide to buy an Ember Mug 2, don't get the lid, or maybe consider the travel mug - but I haven't tried that one. I have found I rarely use the lid anyway, and I don't really trust it. Even when it does stay on and is closed, it does leak pretty badly if you slosh it around.There are already scratches on the inside of the mug from stirring.I think this product would be a solid deal for like $80. But anything more than that is just highway robbery for the quality you get.Although I actually do enjoy using it, and will continue to do so, I can't recommend it to anyone I actually care about at this price. If I buy another heated mug, it will be from another brand.

Whether you want to keep YOUR coffee hot, or you want the perfect gift for a coffee or tea enthusiast, this is perfect. Yes, it is one expensive coffee cup. BUT... it is such a pleasure to have a beverage that maintains it's warmth for up to 90 MINUTES! Fully recharges in about an hour and is easy to monitor via the phone app.

They are great for presents. We love how every sip of the coffee lasts is hot. I have a charger at my desk so I use it throughout the day! I bought this sage one for guests because I feel sad giving them a ceramic mug while we all use our embers. lol.

I purchased the smaller ember mug and the battery lasts for quite a while. I have purchased two larger mugs and the battery only lasts for five minutes. It is not worth the money.
