DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!! It is a total flop. I purchased three, all of which were defective. It's too bad because the platform is decent, but poor feeding, safety lock issues, bb drops, did not impress. Maybe it was just the three I got was just chance, but not good batting average. Do your homework, read reviews and watch videos

This review is especially for starters, but I am confident that all considering this purchase will find this helpful.First is a short review, but for those with more time on their hands or wondering where to buy co2 cartridges and spare magazines, I would recommend reading the longer review further below. FYI I paid a few dollars short of $50 for this.SHORT>> This pistol feels sturdy, looks great, and shoots well! The grip however is quite large and not recommended for small hands.LONG>> I am as one would consider a beginner in the world of airsoft. I know a great deal about firearms, both from my own interest and from my many hours of Counter-Strike. Just recently, I was invited by my friends to join them in an airsoft war! I was very excited to attend, but I honestly knew very little about the sport. After extensive research, I felt ready to purchase several items that I knew I would need. Among these was a pistol. Although I know that Amazon is not really the place to buy airsoft guns, I know that there are a few good ones here and there. The Umarex pistols really stood out with their good prices and great reviews. I chose this one over the because of my familiarity with the USP.As I write this review, I have had the pistol for the good part of a day. I have shot about 100 BB's with it so far, and it works quite well! Tomorrow I go on my first airsoft war and when I get back I will add more to the review below.Pros:Looks like the real gun! (Excepting the bright orange tip, of course)Has a bit of weight to it, so that it does not feel hollow or cheap. The plastic is very well made and sturdy. The iron sights are decent.Cons:The grip is huge! If you have small hands, then do not buy it! My hands are about 9 inches in diameter, (Usually a L in gloves) and I can not keep a normal grip and reach the magazine release at the same time! It can be worked around in my case, but someone with smaller hands would have trouble comfortably reaching the trigger and safety.Difficult to load, and speed loaders don't help tremendouslyMagazine capacity is lowTrigger is harder to pull than normal.Specifications:The gun comes with an instruction manual, a magazine, and 100 (rough estimate) BB's. You will need co2 before you can fire the gun.Magazine capacity: 16 BB'sBB size: 6mm (You will rarely come across any airsoft BB's that are not 6mm.)Spare Magazines (I have bought one for $18 and it is exactly the same as the one that came with the gun): Non-blowback, and you cannot pull back the slide. (Some people like it otherwise)co2 Cartridges (NOTE: One cartridge will last you for a good while in a battle, but once the seal is broken the co2 will only last a couple days before escaping):

Wow.. is this a nice feeling Airsoft gun. feels much closer to a real firearm than a toy.. This thing is weighted well, is solid and has a nice heft to it.. Controls feel well placed and the action is good. Trigger pull is a bit long, but not a big deal on an airsoft gun.. This is not a small gun.. my 12 year old can hold it ok, but its got a fairly good sized grip on it (about the same as a standard 1911). So far it has worked flawlessly.. no problems at all. Accuracy is fairly good at 30 feet, but that also has a lot to do with the ammo being used.. Magazine is a bit tedious to fill, but it gets easier after youve done it a few times... Definetly worth a the little extra money from the cheap units sold at walyworld...UPDATE:...so while on a camping trip this pistol locked up on my son, the trigger would only go about half way back and then it would stop, and of course nothing would shoot.. when we got home I watched a couple of (poorly made) Youtube videos showing how to disasemble this pistol (basically rotate the barrel about 45 degrees with pair of plyers and it will then slip it slightly forward.. then the slide will slide forward, allowing your to tilt it up and off the frame..)After disaasembly I found a bb had come disloged from the top of the magazine and found its way back into the trigger assembly, jamming up the works. It was easy to get out and put the gun back into operation without any issue..Also I was able to replace the O-ring seal on the top of the magazine (that keeps the CO2 in) with a replacement O-ring without any problem, This is an easy fix for people who have complained that over time this will start leaking CO2...

*SHIPPING*Pretty quick, about a week-week and a half for delivery. Packaging was good, it's typical plastic wrap seal with airbags surrounding it to keep it from bouncing around. My only complaint would be that they didn't really track it, but it's more of a luxury so I don't take it out of the rating.*PRODUCT*In a word, incredible. It's a complete replica of an actual USP (in size and weight), and any USP enthusiast -myself included- would be happy to own one. Of course the slide doesn't blow back, but does come back manually, revealing the "ejection port". If you're not careful it will go a little above it's groove to slide back in but it's easily put back in place. This doesn't happen often enough to be even considered an issue. While it may look gray in the photo, it's actually pure black. As far as durability goes, it's solid as a rock. With metal insides and ABS (I assume) plastic around most of it, I've actually had trouble damaging it. Numerous times I've dropped it and it's actually either dented my floor or dropped without a scratch and fired as soon as I picked it up.*FIRING*Like I said above, it's pretty powerful, as is to be expected from a CO2 fed gun. This easily blows away any AEG I have.*CONS*The only thing I can think of is that it didn't come with a C02 Cartridge. I didn't find out until I received the gun, and had to wait a couple days after ordering it. It would be very helpful if they added that it doesn't come with one, especially since they're extremely cheap.*OVERALL*Great buy, would buy again if it somehow broke. Get's the job done and looks awesome as well. 5/5 Easily, Umarex delivers.
