The small details stand out. This did the job. My original plate cover turned off white and turned into an eye soar. This didn't only bring it back to life but also added geometry to the space. Probably overthinking it but it did the job.

Not what I thought, I assumed the connection base come with the outer plate, this is not the case, you literally pay £20+ for a piece of round plastic, turns our the base isn't as easily availible in the UK for the nest e thermostat either, waste of money to anyone in the UK.

Very easy to install and operate. We tried Ecobee and looked at other Wifi enabled thermostats on the market but this one does the job beautifully. Most smart thermostats require a power source, or the "C" wire connection and if you are replacing an old legacy thermostat, you're out of luck. Ecobee required a power extender connection at the HVAC unit. For NEST, we were able to locate the C wire and the installation was a snap. If you do not have a C wire, use the G wire as a power source at both ends by connect the G wire to the compressor 24V return wire and connecting the G wire at the thermostat to the C port. Sounds complicated if it's really simple. Love this product for the price point and ease of use. It was installed in our vacation home and we'll never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the AC again.

My old thermostat was rectangular and left a hole in the wall after installation of the nest. This cover is perfect with its round trim which matches the thermostat color perfectly and covers the unsightly hole. Now my thermostat doesn't look like an afterthought on the wall. My only suggestion would be if the name of the company wasn't permanently molded into the plate. But it's a minor complaint. The bigger complaint is the cost of the wall plate. It's a piece of plastic that costs double digits. To put into perspective, the Nest thermostat was free with utility rebate and $10 shipping.

So I like this wall mount, although I think the price is a bit high for a piece of plastic not sure it's worth the upgrade from the standard plate that's half the price. Also be careful to order the correct plate for the nest thermostat you buy. We didn't know this and had to drill our own holes to mount it and avoid having to send it back.

Great product... I wasn’t keen on buying a round wall plate just for the sake of it especially since the nest thermostat comes with a square one as part of the kit! However, my wife wanted the round one and I must say it looks much nicer on the wall than the square one! It’s a few more buck to shell out but I personally thinks it’s worth the money, it’s well made, the fit is good and easy to install.

Easy to install. Works great. However, a rectangular wall plate came with it . Not the round one pictured. We ordered the round plate only because we preferred itIt’s easy to set up. But forget the app you can download. It’s rated with only two stars for a reason. I gave up on it before I could get it set up. I do recommend the nest thermostat

There are different versions for the different Nests. This one for the E was very easy to install. The Nest E backplate had 4 holes in the back that align with the 4 mounts on the elago wall plate, simply align the backplate, press together, and mount it like you would normally mount the Nest with 2 screws. I bought the white cover and it doesn't look "cheap" and goes well with the white Nest.The back has some gap between the plate and the wall, while the edge is still flush, to allow your wiring access hole to offset slightly and let the wires to route behind the plate if needed.The only thing I don't like is the branding since it does not seem necessary which is why I gave 4 stars.
