I love to use these as a mystery lab- the students have to work together to try to figure out and explain what is happening.

Great price. Arrived on time. Unfortunately, I use these for scientific inquiry in the classroom and having different colors is a major set back. It allows students to apply an incorrect inference that cause the real objective to be lost. They say that the black one makes the ice melt faster because black absorbs heat. If they were the same color that idea would not hold water, no pun intended.

These are awesome for using as a science demonstration on insulators & conductors. The kids are amazed by the outcome of how the ice melts. They always tell me that I trick them and cannot be trusted anymore!
