The mounting screws are too long for my Tikka t3 223. The description says for T3 but the screws aren’t! BS

I ordered two rails. And one was a used rail/screws.I realized because the second rail came in unopened and sealed.I had a HARD time with the screws and mounting process. I used proper tools for installation.I could not zeroed my rifle after the rail, scope and rings installation.I called the manufacturer of my scope since I thought was either the rings or the scope.Well, they sent me right away a scope replacement and a new set of rings since I was in the middle of deer season, they told me to send back the “defective products” within the next 15 days.I mounted them and I had the same issue. So they told me I might have an issue with the MOA’s between my scope and my rail. They sent me with a gunsmith near my house and they paid for the scope and ring installation. The problem wasn’t the scope or rings!! the gunsmith told me that the rail was uneven/defective.So, I immediately returned the unopened rail I had, the gunsmith suggested other rail’s brand, and I ordered it and now everything works flawless.

Initially I had a problem driving the screws into the receiver. I called EGW and Berretta and both confirmed to me that Tikka fills the screw holes in the receiver with some sort of corrosion inhibitor and thus the issue of not being able to set the screws in the receiver. I was told that a very vigorous cleaning of the screw holes and possibly using a 6x48 tap to clear the muck out would take care of the problem, and in fact it did. Other than that no issues. This is the first time I have ever encountered such an issue when mounting a picatinny rail and I hope the last time.

This is a well made rail and just what I wanted. However, I have an older Tikka model 695. Some one in the question and answers said this rail would fit. Some where else on Amazon it was said that this rail would not work because of the thread difference. I took a chance. You can't blame that on the dealer, eh? Anyhow it does not fit my Tikka the holes do not match up and the screw thread is different. I am sure if you have a newer T-3 this would be just the ticket. I am returning it for a refund.

As I wrote review for 20 MOA rail this unit is easy to manipulate due to aluminum construction. Would definitely use this company's products again.
