My old one blew out due to a broken bolt. This was the quickest & least expensive opportunity. Works great!

Overall pretty happy with it. The instructions could be better, there is a spacer included and it is not clear where it goes, although it seems to need to be used in place of the original washer under the bolt head. We'll see how well it works long term. The original lasted from 2001 until 2023. If this one lasts that long I'll be surprised but happy.The worst part of the entire job is getting the old one off, as they tend to rust to the shaft of the engine. Lots of PB Blaster, a puller, and a couple of pry bars got it off after about 2.5 hrs of work. I had just had it off 5 years previously when I needed to remove the engine of my LX277. I put lots of anti seize on the shaft then, but it was still rusted in place, this time I tried some bearing/chassis grease, we'll see if that is any better for the next time.

There are times when it is best to bite the financial bullet and go with generic. When faced with spending well over $350 for a name brand from the green brand we went to Amazon and bought one for ONE THIRD the price. The new part arrived in time stated and has now been installed and test run recently for 5 hours. When the new clutch engages it is a smooth transition. Grass now is cut over 1" shorter and no need for second pass over to cut the stick ups.
