Your cart is empty. The eastern redbud’s beautiful blossoms are one of the season’s most famous displays, making it known as the harbinger of spring. But it doesn’t end there. Unique and irregular branching patterns combine with a trunk that commonly divides close to the ground to create a very handsome, spreading and often flat-topped crown. Then the leaves change to a bright yellow before falling. Even in winter, covered with snow, the eastern redbud is stunning.

Came Quickly, packed well and exact size as indicated. No buds or leaves though. Maybe too early?

Update:I wanted to update that the tree did not make it. However, this is no surprise with how the poor thing came to me.As you can see in the second photo, this poor plant has been hacked at. There is only 2 little sticks remaining. While they cut 3 including the main start to the tree off.Plus, this advertisement says it's 2 feet, I put a tape measure in the photo to show its only 1 foot.I'm not honestly sure if this even deserves the 3 stars.. this poor little trees. I hope they don't treat all of them like this.

I'm a little disappointed. When it arrived it had black dots over most of the leaves. I notified the seller and I was told that it is leaf spot from the irrigation system. They wouldn't replace the plant and instead told me to pluck off the worst leaves, which was frustrating since most of them had it. We sprayed the tree which seems to have stopped the leaf spot and the tree is now doing good and looking healthy. Just wish it was sold to me that way.

I took a chance ordering this tree online as the 10ft+ redbuds at the local nursery were $175+ and I didnt need a big tree. I am a patient gardener and these trees grow at a moderate rate. Ordered on a Tuesday, tree shipped Wednesday and received it by Friday in great shape (no stress) and packaged exceptionally well (see pictures). I was curious what the 'soiless media" was that the tree's roots were in; it appears to be a grated mulch topped with juniper bush clippings. It isn't soil but a good temporary media for the roots. The container was wrapped tight in a plastic bag to keep in moisture. There were pine shavings in the package for cushioning. I threw them on my compost pile. The tree came about four feet tall and I left it out on my back patio for two days, planting it today. I checked it twice a day and watered once, keeping the plastic around the container. I planted it at ground level in a spot beneath a 90' poplar in my backyard. It gets a few hours of morning sun, dappled sun through the afternoon and a few hours of late afternoon sun. A good spot I think.Overall, I am very pleased with the price, shipping and quality of tree. I will update my review as the plant adjusts.

It showed up in a pot, with blooms on it, started sprouting leaves, then they all died off. Right now, it's still alive, but doesn't look it. Not sure what is going on.Update: Well, it died, but contacted the seller, and had a replacentment within days. Fantastic customer service!

By the time it arrived 90% of the leaves were dead or hurtin for a squirtin. I immediately whipped out my hose and sprayed. The bark was a little ratty and was really considering sending it back.My mom said it had potential and convinced me to give it a chance.I think because it took so long to reach my house it was obviously sun deprived. You could tell when it shipped it was a nice looking tree. After a couple of days of God sent rain and a nice sun facial IT'S ALIVE! I gave it a haircut, put it in the ground, and it now looks healthy all around. The review would've received 5 stars but they were tardy.
