I live in the desert and this year the sand storms have been hellacious which means fine, sandy dust everywhere, inside and out. I realized pretty quickly that I needed to tuck all of the electronics under covers or they'd be ruined. I was so happy to find a cover for my expensive color laser jet printer. It fits perfectly and keeps the dust out when I'm not using it. Everything in my house is rapidly beginning to look like the fussy old lady who put the plastic covering on her sofa and lamps (it's not actually quite that bad, but it's getting there.)

This printer cover was a difficult one to choose because of the many options you had which was great, but none of the dimensions really fit proper, so you kind of just had to pick the closest dimension to the printer that you own. I definitely dig the cover and I think everybody should invest in one because it is going to last or make your printer last much longer against the elements whether it be dust, spills, whatever. Although, a friendly tip: I would say is do not leave this cover on your printer while it's powered on because it's going to accumulate heat under the cover and damage your printer. So, now with that out of the way this cover is actually a basic quality cover at a decent price, and it does the job. The only issue I had with mine is it was damaged, and the puncture hole turned into a tear. I'm still using it, it's not the end of the world but I could tell it's getting bigger and bigger the more it moves because it doesn't fit snug onto the printer. Obviously the more it moves or comes on and off the printer, the more it's going to rip and the bigger the holes going to get. Other than that, it's exactly what you would think it would be. It's made of like a thin plastic to the touch and it does exactly what it's supposed to, protect your printer from the elements. I'm going to give it two stars just because mines ripped and damaged but it's still doing the job since I've had it. I don't know if I would actually buy another one, I think I would most likely easily make my own. So as far as recommending it, don't know if I would. The price is good, but all dimensions are off. Then again, it's all in your usage and preference, I'm always using my printer. The only time I put this cover on is when I close my shop. So for my situation, I think I'm going to give it two stars just because again it showed up punctured whether it was from other items I had in the box or the box itself that was rough, it doesn't matter as the product is a good product and it has its use as well as still working just with a tear. I'm going to rate it on the simplicity of it and the unfortunate circumstances as well as sometimes having too many options doesn't always go in your favor it's great they were there, but none of the dimensions as far as options were spot on to any of the three printers that I have. So, again I think 2 Stars is fair but pick one up if you feel like you need it. Me personally, after I got it, I realize it's not something I really need I could have easily come up with something a little better own my own. I will say this printer cover does have its place and uses for sure.

I liked that it fits accurately. What I did not like is that it is very thin plastic and does not feel like it will hold up well over time (i.e. cycles of removals and replacements). The seams are basically folded over plastic with some thin white thread stitching. Our printer gets moderate to light use, and tends to collect dust, but I fear this cover is likely to tear unless it is handled with kid gloves. It helps that the fit is well, so it does not feel like it is catching or too tight at any point, but if the material was a bit thicker, or more like nylon, and/or had better seams, I would have rated it higher. At the time of review, this was selling for $18.18, and for that I expect something a bit more durable.
