I bought this endoscope camera to help me find and hopefully remove a rubber plug in my foundation drainage system that had detached from a hose that I was using to flush it out. The maneuver involved going down a 3 ft PVC pipe and then exploring a couple of horizontal offshoot pipes from a junction. What I discovered was that it was exceedingly difficult to control where the camera end went. If you don't have to go around a bend, then everything works very well. If you need to diverge from a straight path, it's like pushing a wet spaghetti noodle through a maze. I pretty much failed in getting the endoscope into the passages that I wanted to investigate, and eventually had to dig up the pipe system to get the plug out. The camera itself takes reasonable images, and taking the photos using the phone app worked as advertised. The price was certainly reasonable, so no complaints there. My experience, though, is that if you need to do anything that involves deviation from a straight path, it will be very, very difficult to do.

This is a surprisingly capable borescope or endoscope at an affordable price. It has a long cable which has some stiffness to it and can be bent to a certain shape but isn't so rigid that it won't bend as you feed it in. The stiff cable terminates at the control fob which has the USB-C cable that plugs into a phone. I would have preferred a longer flexible cable from the fob to the phone though as when I used two hands to locate the camera head and set the phone down found that I was often dragging the phone around via the cable while moving the camera and cable assembly. The LED light brightness is controlled with a rotary wheel on the cable fob. You can take photos withe either a button on the app, or the button on the fob.The Android app works well and includes lots of features. It captures either video or photos from the camera and has a zoom settings of 1.5X and 2.0X. It also includes a color or black and white video mode, a floating window mode (that overlays the video in a small window onto your phone screen) and a split screen mode that displays the last photo taken with the live video so you can compare the images. I tried other generic apps with it but couldn't find one that worked with the hardware, so you'll probably have to use their app.The camera isn't terribly light sensitive, but that's expected from such a small aperture, so you'll likely have to use the LED lights for illumination, especially inside unlit spaces. The live image is clear enough, but when viewed closely the images aren't razor sharp (possible including some artifacting?) but are clear enough. I've included some images from the camera. The only minor complaint I have is that I couldn't initially figure out how to switch cameras from the end camera to the side camera. But upon close examination I found a note in the manual under the picture that says "If it is a dual lens: Long press to switch cameras". So a long button press on the fob switches camera modes. You can only use one camera at at time. The camera head gets warm in use and even more so with the lights on, but the manual assures that this is normal. It includes a USB-C to micro USB and USB-C to Lightning adapters. A few attachments are included that clip to the camera head come with it including a magnet, a hook and a mirror. I question how long these will last however as they do require you to actually open and close a latch on the clip to install and remove. If you're looking for an affordable borescope or endoscope you can't go wrong with this product!
