This is a very good product and it is quiet enough for closet, attic, garage or utility room installations. This product requires a gasket for installation but does Not come with it. I had assumed it would have since it completes a full install. The gasket will possibly tear in removal as seen in the picture. The gasket is sixteenth inch in thickness, 1/4 wide, 3.5 outside width and 3 inside width. Again It is needed but does not come with this product. 3 stars~

I cannot appreciate this product more! The genuine Fasco A172 product in Fasco packaging box was shipped promptly on Monday and was received by Wednesday (estimated arrival was Friday). Installed in minutes and the loud scarping noise is all gone. I placed two orders and messaged both sellers to cancel order if genuine Fasco product is not being shipped. This seller assured me the motor was Fasco OEM motor and the other seller cancelled my order. This said a lot about that seller and what would have been shipped!!!Do your research and communicate with the seller once the order is placed since wrong or third party products are shipped all the time in place of what is described and pictured in the item page.

The motor and fan housing are fine but the squirrel cage fan inside is so imbalanced (warped) that it's louder than the fan it replaced. This will wear out the motor bearings rapidly.

Not much to say - it was an exact replacement for the old one that burned out on me. It's been about a month now and its working no problem. Much quieter than the old one (which should've been a clue my old one was dying.)Arrived promptly, which was also appreciated when you're sitting around in the cold. Originally ordered from a different vendor who just threw it in a box without any packing materials and that one arrived with all the plastic bits smashed to pieces. The other vendor was a few dollars cheaper, but it wasn't worth the headache and delay - so this is the one you want. This seller packaged it properly and I was warm again within an hour of it arriving. Thank you.

Was the quality was good, as I expected. A few other reviews stated the installation only took 5 or 10 mins. That is not correct even for an HVAC tech. I am very mechanically inclined, got everything ready including the crimp on connectors after I cut the wires off my old inducer and the installation with cleaning up my tools took 65 mins.

Excellent!Direct replacement for my worn out Fasco part#: 1010975.My old inducer was making some horrible noises so I replaced it before it completely wore out.This new unit installed very easily and is working great - smooth, quiet operation.My old model had the wires attached directly to the inducer, this new model has male push-on terminals. I simply cut the old wires and added some insulated female push-on connectors.Additional note: The high-temp silicone hose for my furnace pressure switch needed to be replaced at the same time. This hose attaches to the inducer. The hose was deteriorating from heat and age. Check yours and maybe order one too if you are replacing this part of your furnace.
