2005 malibu had dragging brakes . after replacing rotors calipers and pads brakes would still lock up on hot days or longer road trips than usual . apparently . the old brake line was not allowing the fluid to go back to the master cylinder acting like a check valve . this brake hose fixed the issue and I am happy as can be

I installed this on the passenger side of my 2006 Chevy Malibu SS. I also installed the driver side, but I had issues with that product. This one I had no issues with. It came with the line, with the copper crush washers, and the bolt that holds it to the strut tower. The line bolted in just as the factory one did, no type of any modifications needed. It was exactly the same length, exactly the same design. I had good luck with the passenger side, the driver side didn't work as well. The driver side was missing the crush washer, and the threads inside the nut stripped that hold the bracket to the strut tower. I've always had good luck with dorman products, so I was kind of disappointed with the driver side.

So, the product is of good quality it seems and installs easily and exactly to specification. The issue is, just like other reviewers stated, the stud that holds the bracket to the steering knuckle breaks before the nut ever gets near drawing tight. Therefore, make sure you either have an alternate plan or save the original stud and nut to reuse.

This brake like fit better than the original. It is pretty easy to install. The only thing that was a problem was the support arm screw was a little snug and broke with the impacts torque. I was able to quickly resolve that issue by using the original screw and nut.
