Terrible product. This cable and its opposite side cable both have broken boots after installation, and are seized solid after one year and a light winter. Highly disappointed. Do not buy.

I bought this to replace the busted/rusted cable in my 8th gen honda civic. Everything was correct and easy to install aside from the boot that goes into the cab of the car. That part required lots of silicone and force! I did also have to tweak some of the mounts on the cable, but nothing pliers couldn't handle. Job was more time consuming than hard.Update 11/3/23: This are garbage. The boot already ripped apart and has let dirt into the cable. DO NOT BUY

The product description did not specify which side of the vehicle this cable is meant to mount; the brackets are arranged for the driver's side, and I needed the passenger's side orientation. I expected more from the Dorman Amazon interface. As for the cable itself, it seems to be of good quality if I needed the other side.

Very disappointed in this cable. Within a couple of months, the expandable rubber boot that is near the connection with the caliper was dry rotted and no longer intact. This was the whole reason for needing this cable because water enters at the ripped boot and freezes, causing the caliper not to release. Is this really the quality of a Dorman product??
