It fits a little loose, so don’t tighten it too much. The old one was cracked and falling apart, so this is still a good option.

I saw a lot of comments of it not working. I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.0. Works just fine for my jeep. If your not sure if it fits take a look at my picture i added. Yes it fits CERTAIN coolant overflow tanks.

This cap DOES NOT fit the original overflow tank on my 94 Grand Cherokee, as the cap is too large and the threads do not mesh with those on the tan- I am the original owner of this vehicle, and have never changed the overflow tank. The problem appears to exist in the aftermarket parts suppliers/dealers database, and/or an error in the specifications was made somewherere, perhaps at the Chinese manufacturer level. The 93-94 use the same cap, but then they change for 95-98; I suspect this cap might actually fit a 95-98, but it definitely does not fit 93-94, as I have tried a cap from Napa also, and no fit. Yet, a 52005184 Mopar cap from the Jeep dealer (which supposedly crosses to Dorman 82595, and Napa 703-2321, but obviously does not) DOES FIT, as it should. Looks like I might be either converting to the newer tank design, or checking out the Volvo cap another reviewer suggested. DO NOT BUY THIS CAP FOR A 93-94 GRAND CHEROKEE ZJ- IT DOES NOT FIT.
