Had an old window that just went out. Luckily the window was still on track and after testing it was indeed just the motor. Bought this motor, separated it and replaced just the bottom half as a lazy fix since the replacing the full motor only is PIA and it worked perfectly.Advice: if you replace the bottom half be sure to set the metal contact and springs back in place before inserting the motor spline. Took me all of 30min to unscrew and remount the new motor.

I bought three of these motors two for the right side one for the left they only had one left in stock for the left side pretty easy to install that bad for the price sadly after the return date came and went. The motor started acting funny. Not sure if I would purchase again based on the fact it didn’t last that long before problem started.

It is alot easier to take the tracking system right out, then change the motor and put it back in, for me anyway, my hands are too big to fit in behind to try to undo it, that's on a 05 chevy silverado 1500.

So many instructions you find online want you to replace the tracks, cables, and everything, just because your window stops working in your truck. With this part, I was able to change just the motor. It was so much simpler than changing the entire mechanism, and it saved me a lot of money too. Because my hands are large, there were a couple of bolts that took a bit longer to take out, but it was very easy! There are several videos on YouTube showing how to do this.

Works, but as songman mentioned, careful with spooled wire and gear (I inserted a flathead between the new motors hub and the part it engages and pried it to seperate, which is when I discovered there's a screw I missed, oops). And if you choose the shortcut method as I did, working by brail, you may miss the 3rd screw on the backside. So 1 10mm bolt, in your face, 3 8mm bolts on the back you can't see, and note the two closest to the front and how they interface with the doors sheet metal, because I had to guess... And I used a ziptie on the one I broke off, worked for now.

Did not fit stock 02 Sierra 1500 ext cab as amazon suggested.. It is the wrong gear for the original part in the regulator. Better off buying the full regulator setup for a few bucks more. Amazon took return no problem... Unusable so no idea how the motor functions.. 1 star to amazon for telling me it would fit..
