easy to install with help of you tube video on door panel removal. had a little trouble lining up the bolt that secures the motor to the door panel. Note: you will need a 5.5 mm or 7/32 socket for one of the bolts on the panel, thanks for that Ford. time will tell how durable the motor is especially with the added tension on the motor with the slightly misaligned bolt, but that may have been my fault.

I installed this on a 2005 Ford F-150 driver window. This is a pretty common failure. If you have tools and can do basic maintenance this is not too difficult. I also watched several YouTube videos and some of the suggestions were spot on.

Product came in record time, and was easy enough to replace the old busted rig. I don't know much about cars, but thanks to a few short videos on youtube, I was able to figure out how to replace this on my own and save hundreds in labor cost... (plus I am pretty sure I bought this for much less than I would have been charged for the part at a mechanic... Once I got it installed, I couldn't help but notice how fast my window rolled up compared to the sluggish movement it had before. I might just buy one for my passenger side just for the heck of it! (It still works, but, come on... it's nothing like this bad boy!)Great product, great buy!I have a 2005 Ford F150 Lariat, and I installed this approximately 5 months ago and it is still running strong!

I was a bit disappointed to find that one cannot buy JUST the assembly without the motor, but at this price it's not a sore subject. The Dorman window regulator seems like a better made unit than the original- the jacketing of cabling is more substantial, and the fit was spot-on. The plug design is different from the original, but this includes an adaptor that addresses the difference.I have a 2004 F-150 Supercrew, and the other day leaving work and rolling up the window, there was a "pling" and the window slowly fell down into the door. I opened the door, and the cabling assembly looked like a snagged fishing reel. I called parts stores and the replacement part was looking like ~$250. I looked here on Amazon and this part was $87. Yeah, it's a significant savings.You don't need to be a mechanic to install this. If you have a screwdriver with Torx bits, and a socket set, you should be good to go.
