I was nervous buying a non-OEM part for my truck. Thankfully this Dorman Rear Position Leaf Spring Shackel Kit left nothing to be desired. It is solid as a rock, went on easily (as easily as can be expected when doing a leaf spring shackle change), and hasn’t had any performance issues since I installed it a year ago.

Stock shackle rusted apart so the spring ended up almost going through the bed of the truck. The bolts/nuts on this part do not have stop tabs, like the OEM part, but the part fit perfectly and saved a trip to the mechanic

Excellent quality parts, perfect fit for 2001 F150 4x4 with Offroad package. Last thing I thought to ever replace where the rear leaf spring shackles. Until I was hosing the lovely Ohio Salt residue off the underside of the truck (every 2 weeks at least in the winter!) and saw a little pile of rust on the ground. Further inspection and I found my original 20+ year old shackles were see through! Before replacement I doused the old shackle hardware with Liquid Wrench several times and let them soak. Replacement of both sides with the new Dorman parts took about an hour. I opted to leave the leaf spring bushings as is, they looked good and I wasn't going to open that can o' worms. Nice that Dorman includes replacements if yours are toast. With the new shackles installed I have less creaking and groaning from the rear of the truck. Plus much improved confidence in it's renewed load handling abilities.

My old leaf spring shackles rubber bushings were worn out, cracked, and chunks of the bushings were missing. These are easy to install, exactly the same as my stock shackles, and a good price. This old truck finally drives more quietly and smoothly. Before was starting to get pretty noisy going over bumps and potholes. Having replaced my entire suspension system has also improved stopping distance, best of all!
