Installation Steps:
- Select the1.38-2.36in (35mm-60mm) thick doors.
- Drill 5/8in (16mm) diameter hole in doors.
- Unscrew the door viewer.
- Insert the front end of the door viewer outside the door and tighten it.
- Insert the back end of the door viewer into door and tighten it.
- Done.
Warm Tips:
- The length of the included hole saw drill bit is limited, for thicker doors you need to drill several times and adjust the drill rotational speed.
- When installing the main body, you need to tighten the built-in threads as much as possible to increase the sealing, which can effectively prevent water vapor, fog, dust, etc. from entering the inner part of and causing blurred vision.
- Drill half on each side of the door and several times slowly to avoid door craking and keep the hole level.
- Manual measurement, please allow slight errors on size.

The landlord replaced our old front door with a soild one, there was no way to see anything at the door or on the porch unless you went to a different part of the house to look out a window. That problem is solved with this kit.So far so good. It was an easy installation into the door. Once we marked where we would place the viewer, the drill bit was easy to use. Our door isn't super thick, so drilling the hole for one side using the provided bit, allowed the center of the drill bit to pop through to the other side. That made aligning both sides of the hole super easy, as the center of the other side was now predrilled. After the hole was made, I just screwed the two sides of the door viewer together till everything was as tight as I could get it.It works well, I can see a good bit on the porch, part of the side yard, and if I park my car in a different spot I could see it too. Now I don't have to play the fun guessing game of "person or raccoon" when I hear rustling on the porch.

The wide angle view from the outside lens is so wide, facial recognition is very poor.

I didn’t know this was a thing until I found it. I actually need this for my peephole. We changed all the knobs and hinges to matte black and I need everything uniform. This is perfect and it comes with the bit just in case you have a door without a pre drilled hole. I didn’t realize it, but this also has the little door on it to keep the hole covered when not in use. So cute and I cannot wait to install it.
