About this item

  • Applicable to all stage lights with DMX512 signal protocol, used for the signal connection between the lights, between the light and the controller, transferring the controller's program to the light and running it
  • Three core shielded signal cable, 5 meters (16.4 feet) in length, with male and female Caron plugs, used directly after purchase, if you want to be longer, you can buy more cables to use in series.
  • Your stage lighting must be equipped with the same type of male and female Caron connectors, otherwise you can not use it.
  • There are three copper core wires inside, each with multiple copper wires. The DMX512 signal loss is small, almost no attenuation. The wire is soft, foldable, will not be broken, and the service life can be as long as 10 years.
  • It is only used for DMX512 signal transmission of stage lighting, and is not recommended as a microphone cable, because it does not match the microphone connector.

They’re plastic and hard to insert but they work and are cheaper than others so I don’t mind

The plugs are obviously cheap, so when tightly packed they aren’t perfectly round. Hard to use.

2 of 4 cables arrived deformed, where the male side was not a proper circle, making it completely unusable. Whilst I understand these are cheap, they aren’t worth the risk arriving deformed.

Cheaper than cheap. Plastic connectors that were deformed upon arrival. Garbage.

The XLR connectors on these units were deformed when I received the wires. Since they are made of plastic, a pair of tweezers allowed me to bend back into shape and connect to the fixtures. I would not use these if I needed to connect and disconnect equipment frequently. I used them for an install so they are working just fine. The plastic connectors are just too flimsy for any type of wear and tear

I was building up a lighting kit for a local community theatre where the goals were functional and inexpensive. This fits the bill. While the housing of the connectors is soft rubber and may not be as secure as hard plastic/metal housings, these worked for our production. Out of necessity had to unplug/replug in cables each show (6 shows over two weekends + some tech rehearsals leading up) so while this isn't an exhaustive test of cable quality, no issues so far. If I need more low-cost decent quality 10' cables, I'll come back and get some more of these
