I used this to replace the stock switch that came in my Sterling by Music Man Ray5HH Electric Bass. There's so little information out there on which switches are compatible with your instrument, so I took a gamble and it paid off. This switch has literally changed the sound of my bass. The stock switch was total crap. It pops and clicks even when you barely touch it. I was also getting interference from the crap connections. This switch has none of that and it clicks nicely in place. The wiring was exactly the same as the other switch I had, so I just copied it and it worked great. If you're looking to replace your 5-way super switch for your bass, look no further.

You woul think that for $26 bucks they would do a little Q/A on this item before it leaves the factory. As I was installing jumpers and testing my solders I found that one of the poles was not making any contact with the slider because it hadn't been crimped together properly. Since I had my soldering iron hot it was pretty easy for me to pinch it together while I put a precise little dollop of solder at the crimp, but really, this was major functionality that could have been easily tested and obviously hadn't. I like the 4 pole switch but I wouldn't pay a dime extra for the DiMarzio brand.

A dual 5-way that will give you practically every possible combination of pickup arrangement you can imagine. Works well and thus far minus any switching noise I have experienced with other brand 5-ways. Will always get this one when needing to replace!

Installed in an Ibanez RG7321 to use with new pickups. the notch that the blade runs through had to be lengthened just a bit to make it fit. Local tech wired it up. Works great.

Worked great! I replaced this in an Ibanez RG 320EX so I could have more options (Neck Hum Neck single Both bridge single Bridge Hum), it worked great in place of the cheap three way they had installed.....had to elongate the slot in the top of the body to accommodate the longer throw, but worth it! It was a perfect match screw hole wise.

You'll pay a few bucks more for hardware branded by DiMarzio, but it's an easy way to avoid getting knock-off parts on Amazon. Unfortunately I've had some fakes in the past, so I just lean on parts like this and it's been great!

This is a quality component as are all DiMarzio products. I am building 6, 8, 10 and 12 string steel guitars, and DiMarzio products serve me well.
