The salt concentration and ph levels were on point right out of the box. My pool guy was there when we received the reader and even he said it was a good quality, accurate tester. We just switched our pool to salt water so we are still learning! Good value.

Over the years I have used several water testing instruments and usually was disappointed with their performance. Well, this tester is in a different league. It was advertised as ‘high accuracy” and it lives up to that claim, even without any calibration. It measured 3340 ppm salt concentration in my pool and my salt generator (well known accuracy) showed 3400. Wow! I would call that “spot on” and i just haven’t seen that precise a measurement in any other consumer inexpensive test instruments. The pH reading gave the same reading as my accurate ColorQ Plus. It gave ‘expected” values for water temperature and total dissolved solids but I don’t have an accurate tester to verify these values. The unit came with several packets of powder for calibrating the tester but these simply were not needed. If you are in the market for a water tester, you should definitely consider this one.
