It doesn't work properly! They put the buttons in the wrong place. To reset it, you have to press the other button or turn it on and off.

Measuring an angle that's not forty-five or ninety degrees accurately can be difficult. This tool solves that problem. The tool is very well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are excellent. Operation is intuitive. It comes with a battery installed as well as a spare. One handy feature is the ability to flip the display one hundred eighty degrees for easy reading. As far as I can determine, it is quite accurate. The tool has both inch and metric scales and is clear and easily readable. Mine came with a pair of size large work gloves. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

This digital angle finder is really easy to use and was accurate right out of the box. I liked that the readout is large enough for these old eyes and that all the rule markings are accurate. The large LCD readout is so much easier to read that the micro markings on my analogue protractor gauge!Measuring the angle readout against the squares showed consistent matching between them. There were some interesting "features" of this tool. The inch markings on both bars of this protractor go 1 thru 7 inches with 0 starting at the locking knob. However, for metric markings, the rules are incremented from 0 to 400 with the markings spanning both bars across the locking knob. Not sure why this was done this way but I can see how either way could be useful. Also, when I used the gauge fully spread out against my precision straight-edge, with the protractor bars pushed against the straight-edge, I could only get the gauge to 179.7 degrees. If I then flipped the gauge around and pressed the bars against the straight-edge, I again got the same 179.7 degree readout. I noted that this gauge has a claimed precision of + or - 0.3 degrees so this is within their claimed precision. If this gauge were somehow off, or "out of straight" so to speak, then I would expect the gauge to read 179.7 on one side and 180.3 for the other side when I flip the gauge around. This was not the case. When I placed the spread out gauge against the straight-edge for either side, it read 179.7. I can only chalk this up to a limitation of the gauge precision when used as a straight ruler. Otherwise, all the other angle readouts were accurate as far as I could test.In any case, for my type of woodworking, the precision given with this digital protractor is quite accurate for my work and I'm glad that I finally have a tool that I can read without squinting at!

Iโve been wishing for a digital protractor for many years -- not that I need to be measuring things down to a tenth of a degree, but itโs certainly nice to be able to finally get an exact angle measurement, and then be able to transfer that exact measurement anywhere and anytime Iโd like. I can finally stop trying to be satisfied with those โclose enoughโ measurements from my old T-bevel. The brief instructions donโt explain how to replace the button cell battery when it eventually runs low. Youโll notice a tiny little nib of black plastic sticking out along the edge of the ruler just below the hold button. Push that nub in with your thumbnail and youโll see the battery drawer begin to pop out on the other side of the housing. Slide the drawer all the way out to access the battery.

Plenty of tools measure 45- and 90-degree angles, but what do you do when you need to match a different angle? With this tool!I appreciate the quality and thoughtful design. The ruler blades are heavy gauge steel with crisp markings that are easy to read. The LCD is the easiest to read I've seen in a long time, something I appreciate these days.On the design front, it's easy to zero the tool before use, and the locking knob allows you to dial in the angle, set it, and transfer it to whatever you are working on. Very thoughtful and functional. Two more things demonstrate the thoughtfulness of this tool's maker. First, it ships with a coin cell battery installed and includes a spare. Nice! If the battery dies mid-project, you can get back up and running in a jiffy. Just make sure you replace the spare!Second, the product arrived with a pair of work gloves. They are well made and sport a black grippy coating, making it easy to hold stock or workpieces securely.Even if you only use the tool infrequently, when you need to measure an odd angle, you can't do it any easier than with this great tool. Expand your DIY kit with one soon.

This makes it so easy to find angles, and while maybe it's not as accurate as other tools, it's plenty accurate enough for a DIY'er (+/- .3 degrees). First, like any other digital tool you're going to want to zero it out. Position the base on what your starting position is, then adjust the other rule to match the angle you're measuring. Or, if you need to cut wood at a particular angle for example, you can position the one side parallel to the edge, then adjust the other until it creates the angle that you need, and draw your line, being careful not to move it. If I had one critique of it, it would be to make it longer, such as a full foot. But otherwise, it's a low cost, very useful, pretty accurate tool that I'm glad to have. I'm happy with it.

I use this for rough angles, not sure how much id trust it for precision but good enough.
