I had to buy this Derale radiator adapter to help attach a Hayden radiator cooler to my 2012 GMC Terrain. It worked perfect and fit well with my vehicle model. The images show the radiator cooler as the adapter is attached to the hose on the under carriage and tough to get a picture of without lifting my vehicle to capture it.

This is metal not plastic, check my pic for the scratch for the proof. It is not magnetic so probably aluminum, it’s kinda light to be anything else. I gave it 4 stars cause it is priced kinda high, I think it should be around $5 not $11. I could have got the entire replacement line that is about 18” long for $20

Fit perfectly, worked great. The item is not like the unpainted item pictured. However it IS anodized aluminum. It is NOT plastic. It is black in color and proportionally shorter than the image appears. That said it is exactly what the item claims to be.

I was hesitant to purchase this adapter because of the reviews. However, after going ahead and purchasing it, turns out it is in fact a metal adapter just has a black finish to it. People really need to check the products they receive before reviewing. I almost didnt buy this perfectly good adapter because ignorant people were claiming it was cheap plastic.

Packaging is a tough blister pack that does not have to be cut open, so it arrives without dents or scratches. Snaps into GM radiator quick disconnect, and secures with original clip. Item is short enough that when installed, protrudes less than 2" from radiator. No leaks.

This little adapter is a time-saver when paired with the Derale transmission cooler. Thanks to this little part, our mechanic had to cut no pipes. He simply plugged this adapter into the return port of our 2005 Trailblazer. Then the hoses with the cooler fed off the adapter and the existing return pipe for easy install. Extra zip ties will be needed to secure the now loose factory pipe to the underside of the car. Other than that this little device is a must if you don't want to cut into pipes on your GM transmission lines.
