I don't do a lot of drum recording, but I went to a friend's house (he's a drummer) and recorded a few tracks. The mics were easy to EQ and get the sound he wanted. With them plugged into the board we could get a nice balance between them. I tried a couple different setups and was able to minimize the bleed fairly well.Not being a drummer myself, I do record a bit of percussion type sounds. I built a cajon and get some good sounds with the kick mic by the sound hole and snare in front. With two or three mics I can get a good sound with the xylophone as well. One on the upper left, one upper right, and kick drum mic in the center underneath. With a little EQ they sound great.Great set of mics, they work well, sound good, and having all in one set (comes in a plastic case) is super handy.

This Drum mic kit offers a lot of potential, and they work excellent recording my drums. They delivered a clear full sound, and they handled the loudness of my drums with ease. I also experimented with using the mics for some sound design recordings. Wow! the results were very professional sounding. I incorporated these mics in a series of tests between very loud and soft ASMR techniques using the two condenser microphones. I was really impressed with the high quality recording I achieved. The mics really have a durable, and healthy weight to them. They also include a nice carrying case for easy transport. Keep in mind, you only get the microphones- there are no mic cables included. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this drum mic microphone set that can be used for so much more.
