Very very disappointed that's it's just plastic and Styrofoam.

I’ve made yogurt with this for years. No more plastic yogurt containers to throw in the trash. You could also make mozzarella sour cream, crème fraîche and other soft cheeses with it.

We purchased our Yogotherm in the early 90's and it has served our large family great! We fed yogurt to our 13 children, making "yogurt sundaes" weekly and had yogurt to sub for sour cream in dishes such as stroganoff. We used goats milk for years and now we have our longed-for cow to make yogurt and the yogotherm is still going strong!I don't know what type of liner insulates the newer version, but the styrofoam in the older versions discolored when milk was spilled when making the yogurt. That's life with children. This is the one downside I've experienced.I came to Amazon to see if they're still making them to gift a son now grown and making dairy products for his family! The price increase was startling, but EVERYTHING is more expensive. You will soon pay off the purchase price producing your own yogurt! GO FOR IT! It's far worth the purchase!
