We have thick granite countertops and our soap dispenser kept coming loose. The extension fixed the issue now we can soap and soap.

Made installation easy and most importantly, possible when I installed our Delta Victorian soap/lotion dispenser. The stem on the soap dispenser was about 3/8 inches too short ... drove me nuts that i was so close but couldn't install the dispenser until we purchased this extension. Not sure why it's referred to a kit ... what i received was a single piece unit ... ???

This extension nut worked flawlessly for soap dispenser installation on a 3-cm granite top. This kit did not include a longer "straw" for the dispenser, but how could they know how long the straw should be, because the nut could be used on a variety of dispenser styles. My straw may now be ~1/4" too short. No big deal.

These extenders solved our issue! Our Delta soap and lotion dispensers needed a boost due to thick 3cm granite and these screwed between the top and bottom perfectly so that the pump on the countertops will screw into the bottle beneath. Didn't realize the standard dispensers are really for counters that are thinner like marble etc so you need this extender so the bottle beneath can reach the pump above.

Product worked fine, but how ridiculous to have to buy (and wait for) an additional part they could have included in the original package. We have butcher block countertops and the part in the original dispenser package was just a hare too short.

I went to install our new Delta faucets on our new granite counters which are the standard 3 cm thick, only to find that the posts didn't extend far enough through the granite for the supplied nuts to work, just as several other reviewers have noted. I found these on Amazon and they solve the problem, but it sure is annoying that Delta makes you buy these extra extension nuts! For the price we paid for our new Delta faucets, it sure seems like they should anticipate that they might just be installed in granite counters and make the posts long enough to accommodate this thickness. I don't know which annoyed me more - the extra cost or the delay in completing the project while I ordered these on Amazon, as I couldn't find them locally!
