These balls have a "secret" to them: the top comes off easily. This is fantastic. Why? Because then you can thread the top through the gold hanging thread to make it shorter, even somewhat controlling the length of the drop. These balls do not break but the do dent, so, be careful and don't squeeze them too hard.

I didn’t like that they don’t have hooks - they have string instead . But still pretty as ever! Definitely worth the price!
