Each plate weighs nearly 3 pounds. That's too heavy to pass around a dinner table but heavy enough to not fly away at a picnic. Together they weigh 9 pounds, or as much as my cat, making them hard to lift up high to put in the cupboard. I had to return them and buy porcelain serving dishes. Otherwise, they're a nice size, well-made, and beautiful, just not practical.

I got this for snacks for my daughter's birthday party. It did work out well and it's good quality but the channels were you actually put the food aren't that deep. It's great if you're having a small party but you're going to have to refill it frequently. I'm still happy with it and will use it for future get togethers.
