The Nostril Piercing
Description:Placed on the side of the nose,usually seated in a niche called the supra-alar crease(where the nostril naturally flares)
Healing time:3-4 months or longer
Initial jewelry style:Ring-style,nostril screw,or mini barbell
Initial Jewelry Gauge: Rings 20 gauge or thicker,up to 12 gauge for a large piercing,20 or 18 Gauge nostril screws with a head(gem,ball,or other ornament) 1.75mm or large;or 16 gauge,with a head 2mm or large
Initial jewelry Size:Ring diameters common 5/16 to 7/16 inch;post length on nostril screw or mini barbell is anatomically dependent and must have room for some swelling
Nostril Piercing:Changing jewelry
Once your piercing has fully healed,with a little patience and practice,you may be able to change nostril jewelry yourself,though many piercees prefer to get assistance from their piercer.To remove a nostril screw,it must be twisted and pulled,following the curve of the corkscrew.Most nostrial screws are tiny and can be tricky to handle,especially at first.Inserting a nostril screw is a little like riding a bicycle:when you move too slowly,it doesn't go smoothy.Once the tail portion is through the nostril,a swift twisting motion to get the post through the tissue is often best.The hard part can be passing thetail all the way through the channel before it curves-and finding the inside surface,since you can't see it.If the screw is made with too short or tight a tail,it can be nearly impossible to insert,Even if the straight post is long enought.
Nostril Piercing:Retiring
Many piercees find a nostril piercing does not stay open long without jewelry in place.The hole can shrink in the time it takes you to remove,wash and dry your jewelry and try to put it back in place.If you like the piercing,leave jewelry in at all times.
If you abandon a nostril piercing,you will have minimal scarring if you wore the usual small gauge jewelry and your healing was uneventful.The residual mark ordinarily resembles and enlarged pore.Troubled healing could leave substantial scarring.

I gifted these to my niece who is constantly loosing her nose rings. These don't make her break out even with her skin being super sensitive and they work just like any other body jewelry.I would recommend. They look good, the quality is there, they are easy to put on and take off, they are comfortable to wear especially because it comes with different options to choose from and they dont change colors If you bath with them.

I received my nose right and I absolutely love them! They are a good quality, with so many different designs, and a great price. My skin is very sensitive, however, these don’t bother me. They’re not too big and not too small but perfect. The color doesn’t change.

Few of them are so cute but others are too small or too big. Not the worst but I guess. Wish they were cheaper since some didn’t fit correctly. The ones that seem bigger in the item pic are too big and look so big on my nose. Then the stud simple ones are too small and I feel like they’ll go through the hole. The gold isn’t gold more like copper gold. I really liked the heart gem one it’s so cute. And I like how they came with a pouch to have them in. They are really small tho but not bad for ppl with small noses (not me). I’ll have to buy more since most of these didn’t fit at all.

First, I think these are really pretty. The rose gold tone is very good quality, and the rhinestones are sparkly.BUT, the posts are so long that when turned a certain way, the tip shows at the opening of my nostril. I'm disappointed because they're so cute, but I won't return them for just $3.99. They really are a great value.The "wing" of my nose, which I've discovered is correctly called the "ala" -- the outside of the nostril which the post goes through -- is very thin. If yours is thicker, they'll be great for you. But with me, at least with the cute little heart, the post hangs right to the edge as I said, and turned a different way it actually touches my septum. So stick your thumb up your nose and pinch your "ala," and try to decide whether yours is thin or thick, is my suggestion. lol :-)

Great products, although the hoops a fairly small. My nose is pretty average, but they’re definitely for people with smaller noses.
