I bought this specifically because I needed to transport casseroles at the holidays. This carrier fit my Corning Ware oversized casserole dish, my Anchor casserole with handles and clip-on lid, and my extra-deep Pyrex casserole dish. I wasn't concerned about whether or not it kept food warm or was insulating; I was only concerned about whether it could protect my glass casserole dishes from breaking while my sons were responsible for transporting them. I did put cardboard in the bottom of the carrier and on top of my casserole dish lid, just in case. The dish made it safely in both directions with both the dish and carrier looking great! It seems quite durable; I like the design as it is flexible (unlike my Pyrex-brand carrier that only fits my Pyrex casserole dishes). I didn't care about the color or pattern; I purchased the one that was least expensive even though it wasn't the prettiest. I would definitely purchase this again, or as a gift for someone else!
