Fit 2021 Cub Cadet XT1 24 horse perfectly. I was a bit upset that the original only lasted 3 years, and this one will probably break soon also because it is the same design, but replacement was easy and works like it should

I installed it on my ZT1 54 club cadet and it looked perfect 👌

A direct replacement. Cable was a little long but can be easily routed and secured. Only time will tell if it holds up. After installing we did lubricated the cable and it operates MUCH smoother and with less resistance.

There's technically nothing wrong with this factory new unit. It's exactly like the original one I'm replacing. However, I personally don't like how stiff the detent (the click feel) is between full throttle and choke positions. My wife has to use both hands to get out of full throttle into choke or reduce from the full throttle position. It probably requires 8 to 10 pounds of force. I can certainly move it with one hand, but it seems to require a ridiculous amount of force for what it is!The handle body isn't glued together and I easily pried it apart. I was careful to note where the cable sheath and wire were attached because there are a couple possible locations for each.At the bottom of the round shape of molded plastic handle part, there's a notch, which interacts with a flat spring which rests within the housing.I filed both sides of that notch away until the notch simply looked like the bottom of a smoothly contoured wave. I then smothed the file marks away with sand paper.I didn't file the notch down all at once. I filed and reassembled the handle then checked, several times, until my wife was happy with the required force.I'm sorry I didn't provide pictures, but the description of what I did is pretty clear, or at least I think it is.

I popped the old one out with a screwdriver and put in the replacement cable. A bit of adjusting and the mower fired up.

Bought aftermarket and it kept tearing up. I always suggest buying OEM. This is been a great product.

The quality is great! I made the mistake of ordering a cheaper throttle cable previously and what a mistake!! The cable was too long and it didn't have choke capabilities. It didn't even last a year! This time I bought the OEM part, yes it was more expensive, but this is truly a case of you get what you pay for! It fit my tractor like a glove - had it installed and the engine running perfectly in 15 minutes!!

The throttle cable was really easy to install and fit perfectly. I had my cub cadet mower running within 5 to 10 minutes.I am glad I ordered it from Amazon and did it myself because I saved about a hundred dollars by doing it myself. Great product.
