i would consider myself an intermediate crocheter and this pattern and yarn was super easy to use. i think the stuffies turned out pretty well (although the avocado kind of resembles a pear, but it’s still cute). they didn’t take too long to make either, so i’d recommend for beginners! it provides all the materials you need and great videos and instructions for how to make the stuffies and basic stitch instructions.

This kit has everything you need to finish up the panda. The instructions seem clear but they really are not for beginners unless you have learned the short text of crocheting. The kit comes with t-shirt yarn, which is really not my favorite. To me, it's bulky to work with, but that's just me. Otherwise, for the price and what you get, it's a good buy to try out.

I like that strange phrase from the pattern booklet! I had fun crocheting this little guy :) I made his cap off center, at a jaunty angle like a beret. I think he’s really cool! I like his swirly leaf top and his frilly bottom, too. I like that he comes with a keychain so I can hang him off things. I really like him :)Stitches/Difficulty of the Strawberry OneBLO*Chain StitchFLO*Magic Ring (Loop)Single CrochetSingle Crochet DecreaseSingle Crochet IncreaseSlip StitchMost Rounds in a Part: 24Most Stitches in a Row: 36The more asterisks, the less the stitch has appeared in the forty-nine kits I have completed. I think this was pretty easy. The only sewing is the leaf for the strawberry one. I think a first-should be able to complete this (It might be easiest to do the frog one first because they have already started the magic ring for you). The stitch set is very basic and there is only a very short flat stitch part for the leaf, which is the only harder part (the frog has no flat stitch stuff to worry about). I speak as someone who has about nine months of experience.InstructionsPaper: I had no trouble using the paper instructions. They were very clear. There is a booklet that has the pattern and a separate one that explains the stitches. The way they explain the magic ring is a bit confusing (I’d watch the video if you don’t know how to make one). They explain a lot of concepts, which is really good, but the pictures of the stitches are a bit small. The explanations are good, but not the best I’ve ever seen. I do like the way there is a Table of Contents and the way they explain how to close a ball.Video: No commercials! They explain things like in school. They have things on a paper and talk about it and underline things. The row they are working on is shown written on the paper. They have an interesting way of keeping track of stitches. They don’t have captions on as default. You have to touch the screen and then touch the “cc” button.MaterialsThe yarn is the flat jersey-knit kind a lot of people refer to as “easy peasy.” It looks like shoelaces. I had plenty of yarn left over. I had plenty of fiberfill leftover, too, but I forgot to take a picture of it. They include a 3.5mm crochet hook. I find this size hook is easier to use with the yarn than the 4.0mm yarn most kits offer (it’s the same size yarn as W*bbles kits), so I was happy to find out someone else thought so, too. It’s a slower hook that is grippier so that the loops/yarn overs don’t accidentally fall off the hook easily. I like that they include key chain findings that have lobster claps on them (so you don’t need pliers to attach them). The stitch markers are the same ones I’ve seen in every single kit. I am really happy they included the backs for the safety doll eyes. They include both plastic and metal tapestry needles (Use the metal ones! They slide through the stitches and fiberfill easily and are dull so they don’t go through the yarn), which made me happy, too! What I Did Different:I sewed his strawberry cap on at an angle instead of straight. The video shows the hands crocheting in a spiral, but I did joined rounds (I didn’t see where it specified either in the paper instruction’s) and had more than enough yarn.

This looks like it would be super cute and potentially enough yarn to make what they had in the photo but there’s no directions

The instructions were easy to follow, you had everything you needed to make an adorable amigurumi toy. I did have to modify the pattern a little bit to make it what I wanted(I did chain stitches and single crochet into the head for the tentacles) and I had to adjust the tail pattern to make it more symmetrical, but I like the result. If you want a pudgy axolotl pattern this is your kit.

Once you get the stitches down it’s so easy. Super cute and comes with 3 keychain clips for each one too.
