Very nice fireplace tool set! It is heavy duty and comes with all the pieces you will need to maintain and clean up the fireplace except the metal bucket to dump it in. The stand to hold the tools is sturdy and stays upright. All the tools work and are well made. It is easy to set up.

We moved into our first house with a fireplace about 5 years ago. The kids really like to have a fire now and then, so we've been adding some new accessories like a wood holder to get the whole system together.This set of fireplace tools from Country Living was a nice match for some of the other pieces we already had.It assembled easily.The tools are sturdy, make it easy to move logs around in the fireplace, and clean up the firebox afterwards.I dinged it one star on sturdiness because the base is just flat metal and does not sit flush on the textured tile that we have around the front of our fireplace. Some rubber feet would probably help it balance better and not skid around so much.

Incredible!! This is truly a one of a kind fireplace set. We had an older version but it had seen better days so we wanted to replace it with a more modern looking fireplace set. The set includes a solid and heavy stand, this makes me more comfortable knowing that the steel pieces won't be susceptible to falling over. In this set you will receive the following:Stand- solid steel - well designed and constructed, no visual flaws or defects noted.BrushShoveland of course the fire poker.The craftsmanship of this set is impeccable. It exceeds my expectation quite easily. This has given a new "look" to our family room fireplace. This is bolder and really brings the entire fireplace scene together.The materials used are "heavy duty powder-steel, which garners a long life span. It is true for the assembly part, this requires minimal effort to put together. I had this up within five minutes. We have received several compliments from house guests and family members on what a beautiful fireplace set this is. I couldn't agree with them anymore. This is a top quality fireplace set- offers everything you need to make that area even more attractive than it was.Dimensions for reference:12 x 5 x 32 inches - with a weight of approximately 18.31 pounds. Overall, I find that this is a great set and it provides all the resources necessary to operate and manage our fireplace. Regarding the actual construction of the set, the set is very well made, using fine grade steel and has a smooth polish finish. I really am enjoying this set, it's a keeper for sure. Therefore, based on my excessive pleasure in using this set, I would recommend this to other consumers. This would also make a great gift, that will last ages. Well done!

This fireplace tool set appeared to be well packed but the handle of the poker was made of pot metal and broken. The shovel was somehow bent. I included pictures. The whole thing was heavy and sorry but just not very pretty. I ordered this to replace a set that was well used. The stand was easy to put together and heavy so it would stand up without tipping over and that part was nice. What was really bad was to make all the screw on handles out of pot metal that will break the first time you accidently drop one or something like a dog tips over your set. Making the handles out of a pretty wood would have been so nice...not easily breakable and would have made the set less heavy and prettier to look at. The good news is it would be an easy upgrade should you choose to do that. Sorry but that is my honest review and pictures are included.

When the tool set arrived and I unboxed it I was impressed by the weight of the tools and stand and the quality of the construction. The only assembly required is the attach the base to the tool stand using two bolts included in the packaging. Three are actually provided which is great should you accidentally strip or damage one. The tools included are a fire poker, log tongs (interestingly not mentioned in the product description on Amazon but visible in the pictures), brush and shovel. The log tongs are surprisingly refined and robust feeling and easily pick up logs for placing into the fireplace or moving them around. All the tools sit securely in the stand and the tool handles are well designed and pleasant to hold. The minimalist, black powder coated stand should blend well with many types of decor and certainly does not stand out like our gold and marble stand used to - and that's a good thing! The whole Country Living fireplace tool set exudes quality while being unobtrusive. It really is a very nice fireplace tool set.
