I have been using this product for the last 10 years. It is the best wax I have used on my boat. The product is the only one I have found that lasts the whole season. I get many compliments. On how shiny and clean the boat is.

It is NOT a cleaner. You should tackle any paint problems before use. Even if their are imperfections after your cleaning. The coat of wax will still be effective. Used on a 2004 GRP caravan.

We use this on our fiberglass boat and apply it every spring once the winter cover comes off. After powerwashing the hull, we use Collinite's #920 cleaner. That gets rid of spots and other junk on the surface that remains after the wash process. The #920 is great stuff. Goes on easy and comes off easy. After the #920, the boat looks good enough to say "job done."Next step is to apply the #885 Paste wax. I use a foam pad to apply by hand and then a microfiber towel to remove. Here's where the "take off one star" comes in. This wax goes on with the pad nice and easily. However, wiping it off is hard work. Changing out new towels every so often helps a little, but it is still hard work. I've done it in cold weather and in hot weather (and in between) and that doesn't seem to matter. Here's why it is worth it. The process described above leaves a great looking finish on our boat that lasts just about a full boating season (May-October) here in New England. It looked great for the entire season. It repelled beverages that spilled overboard; fish blood and all kinds of nasty stuff.Other waxes I've used on this boat required re-application about mid-season. Not Collinite. Good stuff.Highly recommend.

Collinite paste fleetwax is no doubt the best and longest lasting finish for our fiberglass boat. It should be applied over a clean and polished surface as a last step finish. It's not the easiest stuff to apply, but well worth the effort given how long it lasts and the quality of the finish. We use it on our boat in South Florida and get a full summer of use out of it. It sheds dirt and is easier to clean than other products we've tried...and we've tried a bunch! We polish and apply twice a year. I've found the best way to apply it is to use a very slightly damp foam applicator pad. Apply a thin film by hand and remove with a cotton terry cloth or microfiber cloth before it dries, by hand or with a machine. The foam pad works much better than a cotton or wool applicator.

I bought this wax based on the high reviews and write ups. I wasn't disappointed at all! I bought the wax to apply it to the polished table of my table saw. The previous wax I used didn't have much of a life at all and if a bead of sweat landed on the saw table it would soon start to rust if I wasn't careful. Also the wood was sticking to the table and it was making my cuts inaccurate. I cleaned and polished the table immediately prior to applying this wax, so I could get rid of some sap and a few small spots that were starting to surface rust. I only waxed 1/4 of the table at a time before I buffed it off so I didn't let it dry like so many reviews warn you about. The first coat went on very easily and you could tell that the metal seemed to soak the wax up. I would do an initial buffing with denim rags to get the majority of the excess wax off before I did a final buff with . Getting most of the excess wax off made the buffing ball last longer between cleanings. I kept comparing the surface after waxing to surfaces that hadn't been waxed yet and I was amazed at the difference in how slick this wax is! The subsequent coats went on even more easily. I noticed that the extra coats seemed to spread the wax even thinner and more evenly than the very first coat. Again I used the same buffing method. Ultimately I put 4 coats of wax on my table saw. I found a drop of sweat on the table and it beaded up as it should have, and continued to bead when I cleaned it up and the rag didn't soak it all up on the first wipe. I also used this wax on the table guide and the channels in the table. It made a huge difference in the appearance and lubrication!Afterwards I used the saw to cut some of the wood for a project I'm working on. I wasn't careful at first and a block of wood slid across the table and onto the floor on the opposite side. I've never had that happen before with any wood! Cross cuts are a breeze on the saw and the wood isn't dragging or sticking to the table. I'm going to try applying this to my japanese and western handsaws next to see if it helps with binding and saw removal.Update January 2023: After 7 years I finally needed to wax the table saw again. This wax is awesome!Pros:Easy to work withExcellent slick finish after buffingLittle goes a long wayVery little odorVersatileEasy open/close lidCons:Pricey, but worth itDoesn't wash out of rags or clothes easily

hello, colllinite is probably the best wax for outdoor uses. it has outlasted any wax for saltwater covered surfaces. but, like any saltwater surface, it must be rinsed off after every use. then the collinite keep on ticking. one coat lasted a year of weekly boat use and rinsing. the other brands purchased over the course of several years from a local CHANDLERY (meguiars, west marine, starbrite and 3m products) went on easily, but only lasted several months of salt water, sun, rain and wind. collinite has lasted at least a year. spraying water after each use beads up the water and the surface is still smooth to the touch. we purchased this can to do topside touch up work when needed. the cockpit looks shiny and new. now, since salt moisture is in the air near the coast, we put it on our cars to keep them protected. it went on easily in small areas and came off extremely easy with a clean terry cloth towel. next year, we will update the lasting effects of this great wax. great product and delivery. yrmv
